[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

Have you looked into the BIOS? There is a setting to switch the default of the FN and function keys and it seem to me that you have it enabled.

[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

No worries! I started out knowing nothing at all as well:) 1. You should be able to create a install usb as you are used to (follow various tutorials online and then copy my OC EFI folder to the EFI partition of the USB stick). 2. Then just install macOS as you already did and afterwards copy...

Hi Jazznerd, try my OC EFI Folder attached. Just paste it into your EFi/EFI folder and boot of it. Everything should work OOT, I have the same hardware as you have. You just have to add a Serial number, MLB and UUID in the PLIST under PlatformInfo -> Generic (you can generate these values with...

[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

Hi hi, good to see somebody is still interest in this device. Mine runs flawlessly since two years, can only recommend to do it! A good EFI for your system would be the one from theQuert, which was recently updated to Big Sur. There are also explanations on what to do after install and what to...

[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

I am using the machine for 2 years now as a Hackintosh and was never able to fix a similar problem. Sometimes (I narrowed it down to switching from AC power to battery) the audio just cut out. To re-enable it, I have to navigate to settings => Sound => input. Then the audio comes back...

[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

Tried the config and swapped also the kexts responsible for WIFI (as I run the DW1560) in the folder and the config.plist. However, I can’t seem to get the WIFI working with the config. Any idea? Further, the keyboard layout of the command key swapped hahah that took me a few seconds to realise.

Regarding darkvoid files, at least SSDT-PNLF and SSDT-BRT6 are responsible for brightness control. Dunno if there are more.

Hey all, after updating to 10.15.6 I lost all TB3 functionality. Running OC 0.6.0 and latest ACPI/Kexts. Anyone has an idea? EDIT: NVM, apparently my TB3 adapter broke right during the update...

If anyone is still experiencing this problem: the advice in this thread fixed the issue for me. Indeed I had corrupted color profiles due to an old installation of Adobe software. https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/153235/sudden-unexpected-logouts

Just transitioned to OpenCore! Took me a few hours, but now everything is working super stable, even faster than with clover. Updating MacOS is a breeze as well. Find my OC EFI attached to this post. Two things to notice: - this is for i5-7200u only! - I deleted my serial number, board ID etc...

[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

I would check and update all kexts. Brightness issue could be because of outdated WhateverGreen.kext. Audio could be fixed with new AppleALC kext, I use layout id 13 since Catalina, seems to work better.

Did you format your NVME right? Did you enable TRIM and SSD power management? I run a M2 SSD, so can’t comment on this topic. Skip through this thread, there is a lot of valuable stuff hidden somewhere in the middle. But I remember reading some posts last year about NVME power management, so...

pkg at 0.7W. You need to use the USB-C fix from the dark void repo on GitHub. This is also in my EFI, so if you used my whole EFI without updating anything, you should have the same draw. Btw turn off your touchscreen and the sd card reader in BIOS, it saves you a little bit and it may be the...
