Sorry for being out of the hackintosh picture for a while. I am wondering if anyone has try this method to stay on HFS+ on their SSD.
-clone SSD Sierra to a mechanical drive. (SuperDuper/CCC)
-upgrade Sierra on machine drive to High sierra to stay on HFS+
-clone High sierra back to SSD...
Yes, full QE/CI, I tested youtube video, chess and screensaver. My guess is that this fix might not work for 68XX series card. Let's wait for other bright minds from the hack community to provide their inputs and findings.
My config.plist attached
As for DSDT, yes I am using DSDT with basic stuff such as audio layout ID with nothing special.
As indicated in other forum insanelymac, this might not work for everyone
My Radeon 5770 have the same issue. Here is what I had to do to fix with a little sacrifice.
open EFI\CLOVER\config.plist with clover configurator, uncheck ATI inject under graphic section.
The result for me is wake with full display. However my system is now detecting my video card as "ATI...
I upgraded my Z77ITX (zotac) to 10.8.5 again and using your attached DSDT, it works great.
BTW, is this DSDT backward compatible with 10.8.4?
[UPDATE] the DSDT is NOT backward compatible with 10.8.4....in case if someone ask.
So it seems that you have to move DSDT edit for 9285 under RP1 to RP7?.
Can you attach your DSDT which has it under RP7?
BTW, do you know the BlueTooth3.0 which came with the ZOtac Z77ITX works natively under 10.8.5?
Thanks
Comparing IO802.11Family.kext between 10.8.4 and 10.8.5, there is an extra kext [AirPortBrcm4360.kext] in the plugins folder on 10.8.5, I am wondering if this has anything to do with 9285 half Mini card using injected DSDT not being detected. The other 4 are identical including versions...
I did not test USB3.0 port because:
1) I do not have any USB 3.0 device to test with.
2) I did not have a chance to test USB2.0 device on USB3.0 port :-)
Updated to 10.8.5 and use AppleHDA rollback to get sound working. However since updating to 10.8.5, the system no longer detect my WIFI (Atheros 9285 WIFI+BT combo which came with the board). I use DSDT injection for the Atheros 9285. I went back to 10.8.4 for now.
Update 10.8.5 via software and even combo update, reinstall ALC892 AppleHDA patched sound is ok, but my WIFI is no longer working [Hardware not detected].
This is the combo card which comes with the MOBO and I used DSDT injection for the WIFI card.
Anyone who update their zotac Z77-ITX...
what you selected is exactly what I selected in MULTIBEAST. I used Lnx2Mac's RealtekRTL81xx for the actual DUAL LAN port and they are working too. As for now I am mainly running off the built-in WIFI.
Given that you been having issue, I think it is worth spending less than $10 and get...
It means that it could be bad, but it is simply a guess. The 1 thing that I found strange is that your OSX detect Bluetooth off that card while WIFI isn't fully working. But I myself, never had the system detected the Bluetooth side.
You are almost there except for the WIFI card, but it is...
That's the same combo card I have.
Do you think you can do a TEST fresh install and use my DSDT? If the result is the same, then I would have to assume that you might be having a "lemon" combo card.
You can unzip and move the DSDT into /Extra folder and over write the other one (backup your own DSDT first)
Just to rule out that you are having the same WIFI combo card. Does it labelled as Atheros AR5B195?
worst case scenario is to replace that card with a AR9280 from ebay.
In your Network preference, there's no trace of WIFI. Looking at my screen shot and yours, your WIFI isn't fully loaded. BTW my bluetooth that comes with the combo card never worked.
Here's my screen shot and DSDT.
My DSDT has edit for HDEF-HDMI4000-AR9285. I use patched AppleHDA for ALC 892.
In my build, I used DSDT for the WIFI card instead of modifying kext.
You should check if your WIFI is being loaded first by looking into About This Mac | system Report | under Network pane on the left, click Wi-Fi and you should see what is being detected.
It should. Have fun hackintoshing.
Here is a sample build with same motherboard.
