PROBLEM SOLVED. It seems to be an issue running 32GB Dimms. I have now configured as 4 separate - single channel - 16GB dimms in clover. Booted up and all 64GB of ram is running at 3000mhz. Although shown as 4 x 16GB slots in osx!? Thanks for your help
