    What motherboard should I use?

I am wondering about the same question. From what I observed from Asus ROG Strix Z490-I website (https://www.asus.com/sg/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-Z490-I-GAMING/) under power design, I believe AX201 can be replaced accordingly before you put on IO shield. Based on that, I believe the same can be...

Radeon VII (and new AMD gpus) compatibility

Thanks for the reminder, didn't know I have to rebuild the KextCache after patching. Always thought I only have to rebuild the KextCache when installing and deleting Kexts. It works great for me now!

@RehabMan do you mind breaking it down how to do that? I just want to disable AppleGFXHDA.kext via Clover.

Radeon VII (and new AMD gpus) compatibility

So far so good, to be honest, it takes at least a day or two for me to tell as my spikes come at very random moments! So not gonna jinx it one more time, I will report back again tomorrow this timing. I was using FakeSMC and HWmonitor. I have replaced my FakeSMC with VirtualSMC but no signs of...

Radeon VII (and new AMD gpus) compatibility

Just did. Another question, are you guys able to get the junction temp? I cannot get it at all even with virtualSMC kexts.. Just wondering if it is because mine's gigabyte radeon..

Radeon VII (and new AMD gpus) compatibility

@Benlehot @EpicNUFO After removing the kext, for the past couple of hours, no problem. I shall not jinx it and will report back tomorrow about the same time about the progress. Hope to hear about your progress as well.

Radeon VII (and new AMD gpus) compatibility

@Benlehot @EpicNUFO Man, I am using Gigabyte Radeon VII mainly due to the maximum number of 3 years of warranty, as compared to other brands.. It seems highly likely that right now only Sapphire cards are fine. I will try removing AppleGFXHDA.kext from S/L/E temporarily to see if it helps. Brb.

    << Solved >> Radeon VII - Repeated KP's - 10.14.6

@EpicNUFO Have you tried to update your vBios of GPU? I am not in my office so I cannot check if my card has its vBios updated to the latest version of 016.004.000.038.011717. Just wondering if that is an issue..

Did you managed to read Radeon VII GPU temperature with HWmonitor? I cannot seem to get it with FakeSMC_GPUSensors.kext

    << Solved >> Radeon VII - Repeated KP's - 10.14.6

So far so good, it is like a must according to @pastrychef's guide. So I thought logically that might be what my config file is lacking. Will update again within 48 hours if the lag happens again. @pastrychef, I did some research and found out about this as well. Do you think my system is...

    << Solved >> Radeon VII - Repeated KP's - 10.14.6

Have you tried PluginType=True? I read @pastrychef's guide and did it just to make sure that it is not Power Management of CPU that is the issue. So far I have no problems with the weird lags caused by spikes in only the first core of my CPU. Perhaps switching from Vega 56 to Radeon VII makes...

    << Solved >> Radeon VII - Repeated KP's - 10.14.6

@pastrychef, so I guess you do not have the same issue as me and @EpicNUFO? If so, mind sharing your config file and also smbios, kexts and other settings you used? FYI, I switched from GTX1080ti to Raedon VII, so I used iMacPro1,1 with Lilu & WhateverGreen, iGPU disabled for it to work.
