Hi @esafeddie
I have a query, can you enlighten me why the EFI folder you provided works while installing the Mac and works flawlessly on GPU? Any resources you can point me for further study and research will be a lot of help!
And I really apologize for my mistake. The mobo is Gigabyte only...
Hi esafeddie,
I used your EFI for my Hackintosh build and did a fresh install, everything went fine, but now when I boot through the SSD the screen goes blank, but I see the keyboard is still responsive. It seems there is some issue with my graphics settings/config.plist
I am on bios version...
Thank a ton missile0407! Installing CodecCommander.kext solved it.
Regarding other observations:
1. Done.
2. The laptop has Intel WiFi. Not going to work. Currently using a USB WiFi dongle for internet access. I replaced the kexts though.
3. Removed.
4. Moved to /L/E whatever I could identify...
Yes, I had AppleHDA.kext deleted (backed up), restored that, deleted EAPDFix.kext from /L/E. Sound output is there from Laptop speakers, but the output from headphone jack is horrible.
Or should I just try the same after running macOS installer?
Installed Lilu.kext, AppleALC.kext to /L/E, modified the layout-id as below:
<key>PciRoot(0)/Pci(0x1f,3)</key>
<dict>
<key>layout-id</key>
<integer>3</integer>...
Okay, searched a bit more and modified the DSDT.dsl file which compiles well, patched the same with Audio -> Layout 3 patch from http://raw.github.com/RehabMan/Laptop-DSDT-Patch/master and IRQ patch (file attached). But still no luck.
Hi,
Please forgive me for any stupid questions/query since I am complete noob in this area. Even though I have managed to installed Hackintosh High Sierra/Mojave on multiple laptops, I sincerely have no experience in performing patching.
Currently I am working on Dell Inspiron 5559 i7 laptop...
