I'm currently patching the DSDT of a Intel Compute Card with a core m3-7y30. the computer runs laggy sometimes after boot and keeps running sluggish until a reboot fixes it. I applied the i2c devices patch from Rehabman repo, and MacIasl (iasl 6.2a spec) is returning error 6126: syntax error...
i deleted everything regarding hda-gfx in config.plist, an this didn't solve the problem. IOHDAcontroller still times out and the HDAU devices are still created, i'll post my config.plist in the possibility that i'm doing something wrong.
also, reading lilu and appleALC logs i can see that lilu...
Could you elaborate a bit more? I don't have an igpu on my i5-520m (it's actually present on the die itself) but it's not used nor is connected to any port. Does your guide address dgpu HDMI audio? I'll check for hda-gfx injection.
done that, lilu did not complain about being installed on L/E. here is the last debug file. I just want to disable the hdmi audio devices since I have no use for them.
allright, I installed all the kexts (minus lilu, that to my understanding doesn't like being loaded late in the boot process) to Library/extensions as of (10.11+).
attached are the debug files, hopefully we can figure something out this time, my apologies.
fixed all permissions errors and rebuilded cache. appleALC is still slowing down boot times. my nvidia dgpu audio device isn't supported by appleALC so, to my understanding, it needs to be disabled for it to boot normally, otherwise the kext is just timing out until it boots (notice it times out...
after weeks of refining the installation i'm almost there. right now i have working audio via VoodooHDA, i know it's note the best solution out there, but it works fine in the meantime.
i have a problem with AppleALC, in fact i can get it to work nicely injecting layout-id 11 (specific for this...
the install is working fine, beside 3 main aspects:
- the laptop reboots fine, but hangs on shutdown turning off the display while the motherboard is still on.
-I cannot get the audio to work. appleHDApatcher says that the laptop has the IDT 92HD81B1C. up to now I tried patching AppleHDA on the...
after many tries i succesfully installed high sierra on the laptop! now the only real problem is the shutdown process. after i press shutdown the machine unmounts all drives, halts the cpu and stays on after turning off the screen. the only effective way to shut it down is to wait for the halt...
unfortunately after fixing all the errors that the MaciASL compiler was throwing out i'm stuck at the _sta part. when searching for EHC1 or EHC2 only the latter is found in the device scope. adding to that the _sta method is nowhere to be found. i'm slightly confused here.
would a zipped...
thanks again, i tried to read the dsdt patching for laptop guide, and i honestly didn't understand much. am i suppose to corect and recompile the ssdt or dsdt from osx? i extracted it through clover, but i don't know what to do with it. is it remotely viable to patch these files using a linux...
by any chance do you recall anything about patching _STA? i cannot find a single thread talking about it. also i cannot really do any ssdt editing since th laptop doesn't reach the installer. thanks
have you ever had display corruption (stop sign) and the line "still waiting for root device" problem while booting the osx installer? i installed the kexts that you provied (only the core ones, i would add wifi and bluetooth later) but i can't overcome this problem, either while booting el...
here is the new zip, i honestly don't think that anything has changed besides a kew kexts, but i'll try anyway. i know that the laptop uses a hardware intel raid controller (which i have disabled running ahci mode), that might be doing something funky.
i guess i managed to progress a little further, now the boot sequence continues until the line "waiting on<dict ID="0"><key>IOProviderClass</key><string ID="1">IOResources</string><key>IOResourceMatch</key><string ID="2">boot-uuid-media</string></dict>". i dont know if this is in any way useful...
i'm reading the guide carefully although i don't fully understand what i am supposed to do. is the explaination on post #6 regarding the config.plist of clover? what are you reffering to? my best guess is that somthing is very wrong with the usb controller since swapping the two usb drives i...
