I'm just wondering why my last post was deleted here twice. I have posted a link to the possible further use of the WiFi function of built-in Broadcom cards such as the Fenvi FV-T919. Either the solution is not accepted because it is in another forum or it was due to the corresponding link...
Have you already checked all BIOS settings that need to be changed (see page 1)?
Especially the secure boot setting. This prevents the loading of the .efi driver in Opencore.
I've only noticed it on this hackintosh Z690 so far. No problems on either the Gigabyte Z390 or the MacBook Pro M1 Max.
I had already done a fresh install. So far without success.
Thanks, but it seems more like a memory problem to me. Because as soon as I hang up, the call is not immediately ended. It then takes about 30 seconds, sometimes longer until the call is terminated. Very strange.
Hello,
Since the update to macOS Ventura (13.0.1), Skype no longer gives me a picture of the caller. Sound is transmitted optimally. My picture and sound are also transmitted well.
Anyone having the same problem or a tip on how to fix the problem?
Have found the following:
If I operate the network cable on the Aquantia AQC113 10GBit port, MacOS wakes up immediately after standby.
It works without problems on the Intel I225-V 2.5GBit connection.
Is there a solution for this? Anything else needs to be adjusted?
Wake on network access is...
Since the update to MacOS Ventura, no image is transmitted when calling with Skype from the other party.
Sound is transmitted only the picture is missing. Does anyone else have this problem? Any suggested solutions?
Can someone explain to me how to get rid of the notification display in "About this Mac" or the exclamation mark after the memory under "System Preferences -> General -> About"?
It only occurred after I briefly deactivated restrictevents.kext (meanwhile activated it again). However, the display...
Thanks again, I should have read it properly.
I have one more question: Do I still need an Unbuntu installation to set up Secure Boot or is there also a method under MacOS or Windows 11? I didn't want to install another operating system.
Thanks for the guide.
I still haven't found a way to make the .efi files from OpenCore known to the BIOS. Method a) is therefore ruled out at the moment.
That leaves only method b), but I can't find the entry for the ISK key, as mentioned in your general version (see attached image).
I would be interested to know if anyone has managed to add full secure boot to MacOS and Windows 11 on the Asus Z690 Creator Board.
I managed to do it on MacOS, but not on Windows 11. Since I have to select "Boot -> OS Type: Other OS" in the BIOS to get Opencore working, Secure Boot on Windows...
After the update to MacOS 12.3.1 no more properties injection of the graphic card (NAVI cards) necessary. Everything works as before. Without fractals etc.
Probably the same problem as mine. I got the tip from @gandem:
Try changing the flow control under the network settings.
From full duplex, flow control, energy efficient Ethernet to full duplex, flow control.
That has helped me. After that it kept the network connection.
