My opinion is that even cpu running at lowest freq , battery consumption remains the same if we don't lower the voltage the cpu is working at this freq.

@RehabMan , even with ssdt and codeccommander for ALC256 sound from combo jack is broken after sleep or at random times. And this happens with many laptops with alc256. Until issue is fixed solution is alcplugfix.

Could you upload it please ? I also have ALC256 and sound from headphones is lost after sleep.

Trying to get 1680x945 HIDPI (my native laptop screen resolution is 1920x1080). Created plist and installed to correct folder. I can choose 1680x945 with RDM but there is no indication that it is actually HIDPI. What am I doing wrong ?

Are you sure ? I mean the voltage remains the same. And voltage is the only thing that matters about battery consumption.

Try this. At config.plist/devices set Audio/Inject to No. At config.plist/devices/properties change PciRoot(0)/Pci(0x1f,3) / layout-id from 13 to 11. Copy attachad file to clover/acpi/patched and reboot.

Can I ask something ? After proper ssdt-usb we should remove usbinjectall.kext or leave it?

Search for it and download it. Run it and audio from headphones will be back.

I thought I was the only one. Same experience with Dell 5570 and alc256. If use 13 or 56 , after sleep cpu stays at high freq. If use 11 then everything is ok. Also , no sound from headphones. Only solution I found so far is alcplugfix.
