I wouldn't call it a solution but it is a work around, I'm gonna take a look at the ACPI stuff you mentioned for me sleep/wake functionality is pretty important. I'll report if there are any findings.

THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!!! THIS WORKED OUT WITH HDMI TO DP ADAPTER!!! now i have another issue, when i wake the machine from sleep everything comes back noticeably darker looks like the brightness was turned way down i guess a better way to describe is that it all looks dim. Any ideas?
