I don't know for sure but that seems to suggest to me that one or more of thee SSDTs are interfering with Windows. Try removing the SSDTs and see if you can boot Windows. If you figure out which SSDTs are causing an issue in Windows then try wrapping its methods with a check for the Darwin...
The EFI posted by @Majkel19 seems fine, although I know that you have the Broadcom card so I would recommend using this one and then adding the SMBIOS using genSMBIOS before you use it.
From what I can see he has the keys put in exactly how I did so I don't think this will fix the brightness...
For those who care about keyboard brightness control, I got it working by adding these in config.plist > ACPI > Patch
Then adding the attached SSDT and it's entry in the config file.
I'm not dual booting, but hopefully doing it this way won't break things for those of you who are.
You can try posting more details for more specific help; but, an idea you can try is using the EFI in this guide, and go to the config.plist > DeviceProperties > add > PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x2,0x0) and remove the parts that are specific to a 4k display. You can look in the whatevergreen...
Just a little suggestion for people following this, I had success removing VoodooPS2 Trackpad and Mouse, SMCLightSensor, as well as all the UEFI drivers except HFSPlus, OpenCanopy, and OpenRuntime without losing any functionality. I would suggest at least removing the Kexts to keep it a little...
For anybody seeing this guide in the future, the one by @cephasara is way more complete than this one. It's also more up to date. Only thing that seems to have more issues in that guide than this one is the trackpad and some of the function keys; but that one is easier to get started with and...
Hey I got this laptop back and wanted to remake it into hackintosh again. Do you think you could post your OC folder, or at least a config file, for what you have so far that I could use as a jumping off point?
I'm not exactly sure why this issue was happening to me. The way I remember it is that when I put my layout id in either the alc id section in audio or in the properties section of the config then it wouldn't usually load the right id, jumping between a few no matter what I had in the config...
I actually don’t have this laptop anymore. I also never tried to use any sort of audio device through the USBC port so I can’t offer any insight there.
Hardware
CPU: I7-8550u
GPU: UHD620
RAM: 16GB 2400MHz DDR4
SSD: I don't remember which Samsung SSD is in here but it is fully compatible with no extra work
Wi-Fi/Bluetooth Card: Has an incompatible Qualcomm card. I replaced it with the Lenovo BCM94352Z. Either this laptop has no whitelist, or...
I'd like to update this that the CPU activity actually seems to just be how it is supposed to act, and the GPU is the only issue. Also interestingly my laptop is more stable in Catalina then Mojave, even though the only change I made was to my drivers.
I have a Lenovo Yoga 920 on Catalina Beta 1. My CPU clock spped never goes below it's base (1.29GHz). I also sometimes have graphical glitches when playing games. I've included my problem reporting files as well as an IOReg dump because the tool failed to get it.
