[Guide] Lenovo ThinkPad T440S [OpenCore 0.6.7]

@Sniki Never thought I'd get running Big Sur this fast! Thanks a ton! Everything works just fine, aside from the brightness control, like @thedomis reported. Likewise, it starts working after closing and opening the lid. For everyone running a DW1560, to have working WiFi in Big Sur you need...

[Guide] Lenovo ThinkPad T440S [OpenCore 0.6.7]

@Sniki I'm happy to report that the EFI with the latest changes from your repo works like a charm on Catalina. Thanks a lot once again! Really appreaciate the work you're doing. I tried booting the Big Sur installer and while it booted just fine, there was no internet connectivity in the Big...

[Guide] Lenovo ThinkPad T440S [OpenCore 0.6.7]

Hey @Sniki For whatever reason my past couple posts triggered the modfilter (maybe because I was sharing links), so just as a heads-up, I opened an issue on your repo continuing the discussion regarding Brcm WiFi issue. Hope that's okay

[Guide] Lenovo ThinkPad T440S [OpenCore 0.6.7]

Some more feedback from me: Maybe I didn't do a thorough enough testing, but the SSDT you provided seems to work fine for me. I tested on stock T440 touchpad and both left and right clicks worked for me. I do not use the trackpoint so I'm not affected by it, even if it doesn't work. All in...

[Guide] Lenovo ThinkPad T440S [OpenCore 0.6.7]

@Sniki I'll test your SSDT on stock touchpad (T440) ASAP, but in the meantime, I can confirm that your Catalina-EFI-based VoodooPS2Controller also works just fine.

[Guide] Lenovo ThinkPad T440S [OpenCore 0.6.7]

Same here, in regards to the mouse issue. (tested on T440 with stock touchpad). As for AirportBrcmFixup, this could be due to the fact that I'm testing the newest kext version on Catalina and not Big Sur (maybe backwards compatibility broke for this kext?). Anyways, we can wait for the...

[Guide] Lenovo ThinkPad T440S [OpenCore 0.6.7]

@Sniki I confirm @igorkulman 's issues. I too have had CSM enabled and Secure boot disabled. I also disabled the Voodoo kexts and that did not help. When I changed PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x2,0x0) I got the display working and booted successfully into macOS. - I have the same problem with cursor...

[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

Does anyone have a Kaby Lake (nuc7i3bnh) EFI to share? Thanks.

[Guide] Lenovo ThinkPad T440S [OpenCore 0.6.7]

Hey @Sniki , is this EFI (T440s) also usable for T440 or would it require any modifications?

[Guide] Lenovo ThinkPad T440S [OpenCore 0.6.7]

I can confirm the EC reset did the trick for me, thanks for the tip! I'm currently on the old layout-id. I presume that if someone is using the new AppleALC without CodecCommander and having these issues, they need to reset the EC as well.

[Guide] Lenovo ThinkPad T440S [OpenCore 0.6.7]

Hmm, neither of the solutions worked for me. I tried both removing codeccommander and ALCPlugFix as well as reverting to old layout-id. For the record, when I used an EFI from github, specifically this one: https://github.com/thebinh-lg051/ThinkPad-T440s-Hackintosh audio with headphones worked...

[Guide] Lenovo ThinkPad T440S [OpenCore 0.6.7]

Oh, no I didn't have working iMessage but I don't need it. Maybe someone else who uses it can hop into here. I did some quick testing and everything seems to work nice and smooth. VGA works which is great (the one OC EFI I found on GitHub didn't have working VGA). Boot time is noticeably...

[Guide] Lenovo ThinkPad T440S [OpenCore 0.6.7]

Great stuff! Thank you so much for releasing it. I'll try it ASAP. Quick question, where do we get the MLB/ROM values from clover's config.plist? It seems like I do not have these set.

[Guide] Lenovo Thinkpad T440S using Clover UEFI hotpatch

I currently have a two SSD setup, one with windows and one with Clover macOS. Each SSD has their own EFI and bootloader. I set my boot order to boot into Clover first, so I can freely pick among macOS and Windows. Now, if I replace my Clover EFI with the OpenCore EFI, will I still be able to...

[Guide] Lenovo Thinkpad T440S using Clover UEFI hotpatch

@Sniki I don't want to rush things too much and I know all of this is for free, but is there a possibility for you to share the OC files soon? I'm not sure if it's placebo or not, but I feel that this laptop performs better with OC than with Clover so that's why I'd like to try it as soon as it...

[Guide] Lenovo Thinkpad T440S using Clover UEFI hotpatch

Do you mind sharing your EFI so I can compare it to mine and perhaps try to figure out where the problem lies?

[Guide] Lenovo Thinkpad T440S using Clover UEFI hotpatch

Which config files are you using? I'm using latest files from Sniki's GitHub and volume keys work perfectly fine for me, as well as the battery status. The issues you're describing sound like a misconfigured EFI. About mapping Command key to the Windows key, go to SysPref -> Keyboard and press...

[Guide] Lenovo Thinkpad T440S using Clover UEFI hotpatch

While it's unusual, it's completely fine. Reboot and select your macOS boot disk in clover to boot into updated macOS. I believe this is a Clover-related issue and that it doesn't happen on OpenCore. Anyways, when you boot into macOS, you can simply remove the Install Data folder from the Data...

[Guide] Lenovo Thinkpad T440S using Clover UEFI hotpatch

I just tested the 1st scenario usman2006 described and it works perfectly. I'm on Catalina. I guess the kext should work on Mojave as well.
