Trackpad does not work in Windows when booting via Opencore

So I spent some time in macOS to get my hackintosh laptop working perfectly, but just when I thought everything was perfect, I boot Windows and found out that the trackpad in Windows no longer works when I use the Opencore boot menu to boot Windows. The trackpad in macOS DOES work perfectly. The...

    Blackmagic eGPU

I read the requirements on egpu.io. My SMBIOS is Macbook 16,3, so it meets the minimum requirement. Blackmagic is designed for macOS, so I am pretty sure purge-wrangler is not needed. However, I ran the script and it didn't detect my GPU either. The thunderbolt 3 port on my laptop appears to be...

    Blackmagic eGPU

I have a LG Gram 13 inch which has a Thunderbolt 3 port. I got a Blackmagic eGPU but it is not working in macOS 11 Big Sur. The eGPU works fine in Windows 10 (with Bootcamp Drivers), so it's connected properly and there's nothing wrong with it. macOS does not detect the graphics card. It does...

<< Solved >> For those looking for a laptop, Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro is literally THE best laptop for Hackintosh compatibility

Dude... ok I get it, I could have worded that statement in a better way, but your provocative (and subtly insulting) post is also unneccessary and wrong. First of all, when people say 99%, it is often not literal. If you take everything literally, you will have a lot of misunderstandings in...

In WINDOWS, how to make the screen turn off completely when the brightness is all the way down, like macOS?

If anyone still cares about this feature, I found a (imperfect) way to turn off the screen on demand. I made a screensaver using "Screensaver Factory" (virustotal said it is clean), put it on the desktop and run it when needed. Unlike default Windows functionality, the screen will not...

In WINDOWS, how to make the screen turn off completely when the brightness is all the way down, like macOS?

Going Bald, I appreciate your help. Unfortunately this solution won't work for me because the screen will turn back on when it detects even the slightest mouse movement, and also whenever there is an alert. I tried to leave the computer overnight with this method and the screen turned back on in...

In WINDOWS, how to make the screen turn off completely when the brightness is all the way down, like macOS?

Yes, there's no option. I think I worded the question more complicated than need be: I simply need a way to turn the screen on and off using a keyboard shortcut (preferably the brightness keys), which will likely require a third party tool.

In WINDOWS, how to make the screen turn off completely when the brightness is all the way down, like macOS?

Not technically a hackintosh question, but I have found this forum extremely helpful so hopefully it's okay to ask here. I have a Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro, in macOS I can keep pressing the lower brightness key (F4) and after the slider is all the way down then the screen will be completely off. I...

What was your primary reason for building a hackintosh?

Some people might think this is stupid reason, feel free to criticize me civilly, no insults.

What was your primary reason for building a hackintosh?

The five options in the poll are all applicable to me, but actually the biggest reason I hackintosh is I bought an iPad a few years ago, it was not a great value and it broke quickly, the support at Apple was not friendly either, so I feel like I got ripped off. I feel better by using Hackintosh...

Help booting systemd Arch EFI with clover

I just installed Pop_OS which uses systemd. I know a solution that is quite simple: in the EFI folder change the name of "systemd" folder to "debian", then in that folder change the name of "systemd-bootx64.efi" file to "grubx64.efi". I did this and can confirm it works. I found this post as I...

Music Player that shares my playlists between macOS and Windows?

It would be better if the playlists can be shared on Linux as well, but Windows and macOS is most important for me

Music Player that shares my playlists between macOS and Windows?

Hi, I have a Xiaomi Notebook Pro and it is multibooting Windows 10, macOS Mojave, deepin Linux, and ChromeOS perfectly (I have learned a lot of technical information about Hackintosh, multi booting, EFI files from the guides on this forum, without them I would not be able to enjoy my laptop, so...

[Guide] Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro High Sierra 10.13.6

By the way, can someone (probably an admin, since razorkey is inactive) update this guide for Mojave and move it to the Mojave guide section on this forum? It will give this guide more visibility. Since the install steps are basically the same, someone just needs to replace all the “High Sierra”...

[Guide] Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro High Sierra 10.13.6

Most likely you will not be able use the same EFI folder unfortunately. Although I haven't tested and there is that 0.1% chance that it could work, I think it's better to follow a different guide. The only way that I am allowed to tell you is to use a real mac or hackintosh (the rules doesn't...

[Guide] Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro High Sierra 10.13.6

The update always failed when I tried to update my macOS from 10.14.1 as well, I think the most likely cause for me is that I have macOS, Windows, Deepin Linux, and ChromeOS all installed on the same hard drive. I have decided that I will just leave my macOS on 10.14.1 for now. Are you dual...

HFS+ and NTFS HDDs problem - corrupt and missing files when dual boot and Paragon software use

I may be wrong but most people are saying that Paragon NTFS is generally not too unreliable, is that correct? (They do agree that Paragon HFS is extremely unreliable) Source: I am currently using Paragon NTFS but I'm a little scared after reading this post.... Do you think I should uninstall it?
