if its the first generation i core with Intel HD (not 3000 or 4000) you need to remove the AppleIntelHDGraphics.kext and AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB.kext

I also get this with -v if i remove the -v it just boots back into chimera. have you had any luck?

you have to remove the AppleIntelHDGraphics.kext AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB.kext then it should boot fine
