I had an iTunes rental movie that I tried to play on my machine yesterday and it caused iTunes to crash, or just a green digitized image. Any idea what this could be related to?
My main machine is a z170 with a gtx1080ti that I couldn’t get to work right. However I was really new at this at the time and have learned a lot. I built this machine because I figured integrated graphics would be easier, which has been mostly true.
I don’t think it’s related either, it works then it doesn’t and then back to working. I will mess around with that guide tonight. iMessage is a nice to have, but not necessary. My next big project would be to get a Nvidia card to work correctly
You're a genius.. Not only does my HDMI audio work now, but all my motherboard sound options are available!
although iMessage isn't working now.. not sure if that is related...
Hey you had helped me a while back get HDMI audio working. I haven't really done anything to my system and iMessage eventually started working, but HDMI audio disappeared again, and I am not really sure why since I haven't done anything to my plist or kexts since. I am wondering if you have any...
So, my iMessage is half working. I am getting inbound messages, but cannot send any out. They show up as text messages and do not send. Any ideas on where to start? The iMessages preferences screen looks normal, no issues with login or other error messages.
OK, that got me HDMI audio back, thank you so much. I am not sure how much further to go down the path of getting audio devices to work beyond HDMI, I can live with it as is.
Yep, Kextbeast in the L/E folder... Is there an easy way to sort of reset everything without doing a fresh install? At this point, I just want to get HDMI audio working and the motherboard audio I can live without.
Ok, I will order the bluetooth module once I get everything else working. It is a secondary concern. I ran the script and still nothing. I might try the manual mode.. I have made so many changes perhaps a kext is wrong now? Not sure where else to look.
Side note, sleep/wake seems to be working...
So I have this basic setup, minus the 1060. Getting resolutions >1080p was what I was focusing on and after hours and hours of messing around, I realized I had it plugged in to the wrong port.. .oh well such is life with these sorts of projects..
Working
Graphics
Sound over HDMI
Not working...
After struggling to get an Nvidia board working on my main machine properly, I built a box around this mobo and have it up and running pretty well. This is a weekend project so I am just starting to work through some of the loose ends, and the first I was wondering about was 1440p resolution...
