@Sniki I'm not sure if you still monitor this thread or are even still around, but I was wondering if you could help me iron out my macOS Mojave (Clover) install when updating to using YogaSMC. I got it installed alongside the SSDT-ECRW.dsl, with the app and pref pane installed as well. While it...
@Sniki - I hope you're doing well. Thanks for posting this - I plan on trying it today after work on my Mojave installation.
I'm still running pretty old software on my machine since I just don't have much free time anymore to mess with software installations. My next machine will inevitably be...
Wow I didn't realize YogaSMC provided that many benefits. Maybe I will migrate over. I'll just have to clean up all of my other SSDTs though in the process.
I never did further test WOL. It was not working correctly with this laptop when I first tested it. Maybe I'll revisit this and use...
If you're doing it just for me, I wouldn't bother! I still do believe that OpenCore is the way forward. I'm just on Clover still because I haven't had the need/desire to upgrade past Mojave and the system is very stable. I might do what you did and snag one of those shorter m.2 drives so I can...
If I'm still on Clover/Mojave (this is getting very ancient, yes I know...) do you think I should try out the new VoodooRMI? Everything right now has been stable/solid so I haven't done any updates, other than updating the Card Reader kext and utilizing the Thinkpad Assistant application.
That's exactly what I was thinking. I can have the best of both worlds.
I will let you know if I pick one up.
EDIT: Also, the latest card reader kext with the appropriate boot parameter seems to be working great on my legacy Clover + Mojave install. I didn't actually test sleep/wake yet, but...
Thanks for the update! While I'm still running Mojave/Clover, I still follow this thread pretty closely. Glad to hear some updates were added to the card reader kext - I'll be giving that a shot later today.
I always thought about snagging one of the m.2 cards and putting it in that slot...
FYI, this is might be useful for users of this machine, I learned something from my desktop hackintosh ventures over the past few days.
Long story short: I've been utilizing the Wake on LAN feature of my desktop machine to be able to remotely control it while away from home. The issue was that...
Sorry to bring back an older thread, but I was wondering if you were ever able to solve this issue. I have the same card and adapter and had previously had to uncheck the wake for network access to ensure my WiFi wouldn't be so slow after wake. However, I'd like to use this functionality (WOL)...
Glad to hear you're healthy. My family also went through COVID back in September but we're healthy now, thank goodness.
I'll give that combination a shot and see what happens. I'll give the kext a shot from acidanthera too - up until now, I've been using the latest development, official...
Thanks for the update (and hopefully you're personally doing well!).
It looks like our machine uses the I218 series of ethernet chips (source: https://psref.lenovo.com/syspool/Sys/PDF/ThinkPad/ThinkPad_T440s/ThinkPad_T440s_Spec.PDF) so this might not fix it. I had success with WOL on my...
Has anyone managed to get Wake On Lan (WOL) working with this machine? I managed to get it working on my desktop hackintosh which uses the same ethernet driver (IntelMausiEthernet.kext) but I can't get it working on this machine.
To get it working properly on my other machine, I had to install...
@Sniki wow that is quite the update! And yes...I think it will finally be time for me to migrate to OC. Hopefully all of these updates / new features will be compatible with Mojave, since I still do not plan to upgrade to Catalina / Big Sur at least for now.
I'm really excited to try out the...
Thanks for the status update. I completely agree with keeping things the way they are, especially since your last update was very stable.
In fact, that's precisely why I'm still on Clover / Mojave - for now, it's doing what I need it to do, and the machine is very stable. Why fix things when...
Nice! Thanks for that. Looks like a customized fork of VirtualSMC just for Lenovo devices. Not what I thought originally but nevertheless very cool stuff. Sounds promising!
This is my first time hearing about YogaSMC, so I’m curious what that brings to the table!
As always, we are looking forward to your updates @Sniki :headbang:
Use this guide/thread for Clover:

Hmm, that's odd...it should be as easy as just replacing the old one with the new version. Maybe with OC there is something else needed. Maybe @Sniki can chime...
Finally, after months of putting it off, I upgraded the SSDT-KBD and added the necessary patches in the config.plist to allow ThinkpadAssistant to function on my legacy install of Mojave / Clover. It's working great!
I do still plan to one day move to OC, but since I don't plan on upgrading...
