Here's my Big Sur EFI with iGPU patched and HDMI Audio working: https://github.com/papadiche/10900K-ASRock-Z490-Phantom-Gaming-ITX-TB3-iGPU
Only thing you'll need to do is look at the screenshot, generate a new iMacPro1,1 SMBIOS, and import it into config.plist
Hope this helps someone! Cheers
Duuuude thank you!!!!! Worked perfectly! ASRock Z490 Phantom Gaming ITX/TB3 – only thing I changed was "layout-id | Number | 11" and we're rocking. Thanks so much for the info!!
@TripleYoThreat I have the same problem. I wasn't aware of it until my dGPU died and now I've been forced to use the iGPU for the foreseeable future. My monitor populates on the Audio Devices Output list after I plug it in via both DisplayPort and HDMI. Only one or the other produces no audio...
Sounds like an incorrect BIOS setting since TB3 Docks are the tried-and-true way to bypass hot plug issues.
Is the cable between the TB3 Dock and the TB3 Port for sure a true Thunderbolt 3 cable and not just USB Type-C?
Are you absolutely positive the drive is Thunderbolt 3 and not USB 3.2...
No problem! Do note: The newest version of AppleALC.kext does all this patching for you! All that's necessary is alcid=11 (under boot-args) or layout-id 0B000000 (under DeviceProperties).
SOLVED
Motherboard: ASRock Z490 Phantom Gaming ITX/ac with ALC1220 audio codec
Figured it out! alcid=1-9 all had a weird volume compression thing happening, though audio worked. alcid=11 worked perfectly for me. Had to make four edits to my EFI. Within config.plist:
...
DeviceProperties...
Followed the Opencore guide, currently using alcid=1 under layout-id (within the PCI entries portion of config.plist).
Using an ASRock Z490 Phantom Gaming ITX/ac. Has the same ALC1220 found on the Z390 Phantom Gaming ITX/ac and found on many other boards. Audio over DisplayPort, HDMI, and USB...
Fixed the issue! Make sure that all symlinks in your /Library and /Users folders are perpetually active even in Recovery mode.
In my case, my /Users/Shared symlink pointed to a DMG file that mounts on login. Since your user is not "logged in" while in Recovery mode or while Updating, there is...
Update did not work for me. Received a "OSstatus error -37" message. Tried changing my SMBIOS and my regular BIOS settings. Third install attempt saw the macOS updater completely obliterate the macOS System partition, leaving the Data partition as an orphan (there is currently no way to...
Had no idea until now, thanks for the info! Reading about it, seems time will tell. The spec sheet on the website specifically says there are 2x M.2 (Key-M) which I'm sure most users would want to reserve for a couple M.2 SSDs, and the Wi-Fi/BT module is 1x M.2 (Key-E). On its face, that sounds...
Yeah it's very recently announced, as was the 10th Gen Intel processors.
Last month I went with the Z390 + 9900k after seeing dozens of successful builds. As I've learned with Hackintosh-ing, if stability is paramount in your purchase, wait for others to try it out. For me, that means "buying...
I had a BCM94360CD and do not have this issue, but I did notice my Firmware Version is listed as "7.77.111.1" instead of the one in your screenshot, "7.77.106.3"
Perhaps that's the difference? Maybe there's a way to flash it through the M.2 port?
Cheers
Uhhh....
Copy/pasted your code into MaciASL v1.31
Saved without issue for me!
Also attached is the SSDT-UIAC.aml for my Z270 mobo. Different ports were selected than what you listed above, but I can confirm mine works without issue; if there's any problem with yours, try mine!
Cheers
Yes I did know that! Sorry I didn't update the thread. I contacted ASRock directly and they confirmed that the X570 Phantom is their only ITX board with a full-speed, full-power JHL7340 (Titan Ridge).
I recently built my second "real" Hackintosh (I use it daily for my business), and was very...
Sounds right to me since I also tried just a bunch of 0's in ig-platform-id and I was able to boot without an issue.
What seemed to matter was my actual BIOS:
- 4G Decoding was required to be Disabled
- IGPU Multi-Monitor was required to be Enabled
Setting them to the opposite settings, as I...
