    OS X 10.11.5 Update

Smooth update on both my Sandy Bridge systems via MAS. No further steps needed. Also running 10.11.5 on my MacPro1,1 with the help of Pike´s boot loader.

    Another "PCI Configuration begin" issue

Hi shartep, Glad to hear you are able to boot now with usb3 enabled in BIOS. According to Gigabytes' website your board is using the same ETRON EJ168 chip as mine. I have to admit that I have not fully comprehended all changes to USB in El Capitan and the resulting issues. Rehabman has created...

    Another "PCI Configuration begin" issue

El Capitan was installed using Unibeast 6.1.1 and Mulitbeast 8.0.1. (only installed audio and network driver), which I moved onto the EFI-Partition rather than into /Library/Extensions. I have attached the complete config.plist-file for Clover on my system for your reference. I added more stuff...

    OS X 10.11.4 Update

I am still using Award-Bios and hence do not use OsxAptionFixDrv. My update went smoothly from 10.11.3 to 10.11.4 via Appstore on my Master Mhack machine.

Big List of Solutions for El Capitan Install Problems

Great collection of advice. I can add another solution to being stuck at "PCI Configuration Begin". Adding "FixDarwin" in the ACPI-Section fixed it for me. I now have natively working USB3 (Etron EJ168). Only kext I need are "FakeSMC" and "RealtekRTL8111" and of course toleda's...

    Another "PCI Configuration begin" issue

I have the same issue on my Z68 system. With USB3 enabled I get stuck at "PCI Configuration begin", but only when booting from HD. The USB stick boots just fine. I am using the same parameters for clover as listed in your post, except that "kext-dev-mode=1" is for Yosemite only, El Capitan is...

    [Guide] Sandy Bridge CustoMac Mini 2011 - GA-H67N-USB3 - i3-2105 - HD 3000 - OS X 10.11

@tonymacx86 Your config.plist is showing the use of a DSDT. Is that the original one from this site`s database or were any modifications needed ? I have been successfully running Yosemite 10.10.5 on my Z68X-UD3-B3 board with BIOS F12 (MasterMhack in signature, UEFI U1l did block...

USB 3.0 does not work after wake from sleep: 10.9.1

Finally found the culprit for the Logic Pro X freeze during application launch when USB3 hard disks were attached. For those of us using Logic for quite some time, there is a legacy USB driver for the old Emagic interfaces like Unitor. It is called "EmagicUSBMIDIDriver.plugin" and it is...

USB 3.0 does not work after wake from sleep: 10.9.1

I have the same issue with Logic Pro X on my system "Master Mhack", which is now running 10.9.1. It had been this way already under 10.8.5 with Logic Pro 8. Back then I thought it was due to lack of support for Logic Pro 8 under ML. Obviously this was not the case. My suspicion is that it has...

    No GPU Power Managment

I just recently installed Mavericks 10.9.1 over a Lion Installation on a spare partition to test compatibility of applications. Reading through this discussion I thought I'd do some test myself on my Sandy-Bridge System with NVIDIA GTX 650Ti and compare those with the behaviour on 10.8.5 which...

Parallels 8 problem running virtual 10.6 server on a 10.8 machine

I have the same issue on my Sandy bridge i5 system. I have sent a support request to parallels. There is a log-file (parallels.log) which can be read in the console but that is very cryptic and does not include any obvious hints, although the error message can be located in that file.

    OS X 10.8.4 Update

Article: OS X 10.8.4 Update Updated my two systems through AppStore today without any issues, only Audio for ALC889 had to be replaced with Multibeast. NVIDIA GTX650Ti is now properly recognised. TRIM support remained from earlier patch.

    OS X 10.8.3 Update

Article: OS X 10.8.3 Update Installed 10.8.3 via Combo Update, just had to reinstall Audio, re-enable TRIM with Chameleon SSD Optimizer (Multibeast enabler does not work from 10.8.2 onwards) and update CUDA to 5.0.45. Had installed NVDIDA drivers from the MacBookProUpdate_2.0 before, now NVIDIA...

    The GTX 650 Ti Thread

I didn't see any noticeable effect by activating AGPM, it locked at highest frequency with Luxmark as well. The links basicly helped me to determine what to add to the info.plist of 'AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext'. I left the extra entry for my card in the info.plist. As I switched back to...

    The GTX 650 Ti Thread

I see the same effect. I tried different settings with AGPM, which requires MacPro4,1 or 5,1 as system definition and hence the removal of AppleTYMCE.kext. Didn't improve on this behaviour. So it may well be an issue with OpenCL driver. Maybe 10.8.3 will fix this. [EDIT]: I played a little...

MacBook Air and MacBook Pro Update 2.0

Just installed a Zotac GTX650Ti with 1GB RAM in my system. Installed the NVIDIA 304.00.05f02 Drivers and everything went smoothly. Checked out the issue with the Quartz-Composer posted earlier in this thread and experienced the same crash. I have not been running this beast long enough to...

    Intel HD 3000 setup guide?

I have used HD3000 from day one with DVI on both of my systems, even for installation and aside from the artifacts it worked out of the box in Lion with acceleration and GraphicsEnabler=YES. I have used MacPro 3,1 and MacMini5,1 profiles, both worked. For details on my system set-up, see...

    BlackMagic Intensity Pro

Dear Phil, I have the card installed in my system 1 (see signature) and analog input (here S/Video) worked for me out of the box. I have installed the latest Desktop Video 9.6.1 and Mac OS 10.7.4. Couldn't test HDMI yet due to lack of equipment. I don't have a section for PCIe cards in...

    intel hd 3000 screen artifacts

I have done some extensive testing a while ago and the only way to eliminate artefacts was by disabling KernelCache on both of my systems. You can find the details here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?p=366025#p366025 Meanwhile I have upgraded to Chimera 1.9.2 and FakeSMC...
