[Beta release] NativeDisplayBrightness 0.0.5 testing [updated]

Yes, I repaired the permissions and grepped /System/Library/Extensions, there is no other occurrence. Anyways, I'm now using MonitorControl, which works by listening for the actual “brightness up/down” keys. This way you also don't lose the F1/F2 keys, at least once...

[Beta release] NativeDisplayBrightness 0.0.5 testing [updated]

I just tried again, changing all values in /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHIDKeyboard.kext/Contents/Info.plist, but IOReg still shows 0x0007003a,0xff010021,0x0007003b,0xff010020 after changing all to 00x0007003a,0x0007003a,0x0007003b,0x0007003b.

[Beta release] NativeDisplayBrightness 0.0.5 testing [updated]

I tried replacing the strings directly in /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHIDKeyboard.kext/Contents/Info.plist, which also didn't have any effect. The boot.log doesn't show any error, is there anything specific I should look for?

[Beta release] NativeDisplayBrightness 0.0.5 testing [updated]

Is @wern's patch for the Apple Keyboard still supposed to work on High Sierra, because it doesn't seem to do anything for me? I still have to press Fn even when the patch is enabled.

X299 build with i9-7900X, GA Gaming 7 Pro and Vega 64 – extremely laggy UI/low FPS

No, I am already booting from the SSD, so recognizing the USB drive doesn't seem to be related to this. Great, I only use one Display anyways, so I can definitely live with one DP for now.

X299 build with i9-7900X, GA Gaming 7 Pro and Vega 64 – extremely laggy UI/low FPS

Ok, with CSM enabled, at least one of the DP ports works, when using the other two, it boots to a black screen with a cursor.

X299 build with i9-7900X, GA Gaming 7 Pro and Vega 64 – extremely laggy UI/low FPS

The thing is, once macOS is booted using HDMI, I can switch to DisplayPort, but neither the BIOS nor Clover work over DisplayPort. That is if CSM is disabled.

X299 build with i9-7900X, GA Gaming 7 Pro and Vega 64 – extremely laggy UI/low FPS

Thanks, the UI lag is gone now, but there is another issue. CSM support has to be disabled, right? But if I do so, DisplayPort does not work, only HDMI does.

Thanks, I will try with your EFI folder. I'm using 10.13.3. I haven't used any BIOS patch, but I have updated it to the latest version (F3c).
