Hi guys,
For a number of reasons I'm very inclined to buy this mini PC:
MinisForum EliteMini HX90AMD ( Ryzen™ 9 5900HX )
Can anyone tell me if it's Hackintoshable?
Thanks.
The ExpressCage MB732SPO-B is in my hands now so I can answer any specific question about it. It takes a laptop drive for sure. In fact both of the standard heights - 9.5 and 12.7 mm. In case of the thinner one the front plastic cover plays the role of a divider/filler for the additional space...
One more voice for Syba SD-PEX30009. I have it installed now on a multiboot HP 8300 Elite SFF with High Sierra and Win10. It worked like a charm OOB for High Sierra. For Win10 I ended up using the Microsoft driver and not the recommended one from the manufacturer. I use the card with Focusrite...
My bad.
I have not yet received the dock but based on what I read it should take both a Slim (12.7 mm high) and an Ultra Slim (9.5 mm high) 5.25'' CD/DVD/BDD drive. Including a laptop DVD drive.
I will report when the dock is here but meanwhile you can check it for yourself:
ExpressCage...
If that's all, perfect!
I'm buying this Icy Dock ExpressCage Series with 2x SATA/SAS SSD + 1x (Ultra) Slim ODD. Both of the SSD trays have power switch buttons so I suppose I can just switch off the macOS SSD when I need. Or it's mandatory to disconnect the SATA cable/port in UEFI/BIOS?
Hi Going Bald,
First of all very helpful and very thorough guide.
Big thank you!
I have a question about post-installation maintenance of the multiboot system.
What about (un)installing any additional software(especially in Win) and/or OS updates after the multiboot setup is configured and...
Once 17G66 was installed macOS offered me to update it.
Obviously to the latest security update 17G12034.
This approach was suggested in another thread here but honestly I cannot remember which one exactly.
Hi guys,
I've found a solution for the 17G66 build of macOS High Sierra incompatibility with NVIDIA drivers.
What worked for me:
- Install macOS 10.13.6 High Sierra (17G66)
- Update it - in my case to High Sierra (17G12034).
- install 387.10.10.10.40.135 NVIDIA driver for macOS 10.13.6 High...
Hi guys,
I'm installing a fresh SSD with High Sierra.
I've made it `till the installation of NVIDIA web driver and then I ran into a bizarre problem.
My "About This Mac" says that my Version macOS is 10.13.6 (17G66).
It's not official.
I've Googled it and found that it uses the same kernel as...
Very strange...
I'm writing right now from the newly installed High Sierra.
When I reattached the SSD it showed up in Clover boot loader.
I chose it and the installation went to the end.
I didn't made any post installation changes yet.
Should I trust this handicapped installation?
Or maybe I...
I know that it's supposed to restart a couple of times but the problem is that the process completely stops after the PC restarts. This is what I found in my USB installer:
Hi guys,
I'm stuck with the installing High Sierra for some reason.
I choose to do a clean install.
What I did:
- downloaded High Sierra installer
- downloaded UniBeast-8.4.0 and created a bootable USB flash drive to install from
- set up the BIOS:

Hi guys,
I will need to reinstall my HP Elite 8300 SFF hackintosh making it dualboot with MacOS and Windows. So i have three quick questions.
1 - Is the initial guide on the first page up-to-date so I can follow it or there is something I will need to add to it?
2 - Can anyone point me out to a...
Thanks again P1LGRIM!
Although there were some difficulties I've managed to install Sierra at last.
There were some very strange moments I could say.
At least two times the Serial Port of my HP8300 switched to Enabled in BIOS in spite of the fact that right before the installation start I've...
Shame on me!
I've upgraded the BIOS to v02.99 and setup the BIOS.
But then I've decided to upgrade it v03.04.
And forgot to setup the BIOS again.
However I'm stuck again.
After I've set the BIOS properly and run the installer the result is this:
If I'm reading it correctly the last line...
Thank you for your quick response P1LGRIM!
USB flash drive was in a front USB port and they all are USB2 I think.
But the flash drive itself was USB3.
I changed it with a USB2 and the install started almost fine.
Unfortunately it took too much time to fill the progress bar - almost 20 minutes -...
