    Asus 1155 Patched BIOS Repository

So I am using the patched bios for P8Z68-V Pro (3k series). I overclocked to 4.2 Ghz, so I installed the overclocked SSDT from multibeast that supposedly goes up to 4.2 Ghz. However, MSRDumper as well as HW Monitor both show only ONE p-state, 16. Is there something I'm missing? Am I supposed...

    Stuck at 16x

Did you ever get this resolved? I'm OC'ed at 4.2 Ghz using the overclocked SSDT from multibeast and I'm also just seeing one p-state, 16.

    10.8.2 & AMD 68XX - New support??

I have a sapphire 6870 and this is the first I hear of issues with mountain lion? Do you mean during installation? I read about that on the guide, so I just switched to intel hd graphics on my 2600k, installed, then switched back. I've been using mountain lion for a while and haven't noticed any...

    Asus 1155 Patched BIOS Repository

EDIT: Nevermind, I did P8 generic which apparently already had the HDEF section, I added my ALC 892 hex codes and booted up just fine. I updated 10.7.4 combo and applied toleda audio and SSDT for i7 and everything seems to be working fine. Hey samisnake, sorry for bothering. I'm at 10.7.3...

    Asus 1155 Patched BIOS Repository

Thanks, I wasn't aware of that. So it seems like it's the same process: extract my DSDT then apply this patch and any other ones I require, compile and install the aml. Sounds good. By the way, do you recommend that I do go ahead and upgrade to 3k bios if I'm fine enough with the one I have...

    Asus 1155 Patched BIOS Repository

If you only changed the BIOS (flashed it with the patched one), I can only imagine that you used the wrong BIOS or something such that your boot drive (priority order #1) was changed, or something related which is causing GRUB to error out.

    Asus 1155 Patched BIOS Repository

I'm assuming that's a response to me. Should I upgrade to the next bios version first? 3203 I believe, using the modified one that's in the repository? I appreciate the quick reply! EDIT: To clarify, I'm asking if I might as well upgrade to the 3k rom (3203 for my mobo it seems) to save myself...

    Asus 1155 Patched BIOS Repository

Just a quick question, I'm on 10.7.3 with a modified bios (1101) for my ASUS P8Z68-V Pro and everything seems to be working fine. I'm wondering, what is the recommended path to upgrading to 10.7.4 given that we have the modified bios installed? Should I just upgrade and then install the...

SSD boot drive issue: OS X only recognizes ~30 GB / 60 GB

Please keep this thread updated if you don't mind. I have the same drive as you and out of nowhere I suddenly couldn't boot anymore (didn't make any changes to the system). From the windows side I checked in on the drive with MacDrive and the more and more I check, the less files that show up...

    Dual Boot Dual SSD?

I have a two SSD setup. one for win 7 one for mac. make sure you have chameleon or chimera installed on the mac one, and set uefi to boot from the mac drive and it'll use its boot loader, the boot loader will automatically detect the other operating systems. note that it won't say 'windows 7'...

Chimera 1.4.0 - Vanilla Kernel Issues Fixed + Turbo/Pwr Mgmt

There was one other time when a faster GPU fan happened, that was when you booted with an ATI without graphicsenabler=no, don't know if that may be related. So guys, should this be installed by Asus users as well or just Gigabyte?

Snow Leopard Running Vanilla on Asus P8Z68 V-Pro

To be honest I don't really miss anything. The deluxe mainly had the advantage (if you can call it that) of "flair" over the pro. Like an added small heatsink underneath the processor socket, the POST code display on the bottom of the mobo (which I thought was neat), and the USB 3.0 drive bay...

Snow Leopard Running Vanilla on Asus P8Z68 V-Pro

What? I haven't upgraded to the iMac 10.6.7's 10.7.4 kernel which supposedly supports speed step (which btw as far as I know is the same thing as turbo? increase speed based on usage). I just overclocked to 4.4ghz and that's what I run at, but that was the same before z68 so nothing new. I got...

Snow Leopard Running Vanilla on Asus P8Z68 V-Pro

So I just wanted to let you guys know, it seems to be working, as was expected. I just swapped out my Asus P8P67 Deluxe for this one and I'm typing this here. I just need to re-run multibeast to enable sound, since the sound controller changed.
