Thank you! I understand better what USB fix would mean now.
However, not that I'm not willing to do the work and create this SSDT by myself, the SSDT provided by @JimmakoS should have fixed usb for me, since he's using the same motherboard as me, shouldn't it have?
Thank you @pastrychef ! Ok so what matters is the chipset. I'm glad you told me unsoldering USB ports wasn't the way to go as it was obviously the next thing I would have try :D. I don't care much about hibernation anyway, and as I'm planning to add Thunderbolt capability to my setup, I'm ready...
I do, I have usbinjectall.kext lilu, whatevergreen, AppleALC installed in L/E.
Ok, I'll try to learn more about proper ways to fix USB 15 port limit. Stupid question though: I only count 11 USB ports on my board, with two of them (the 3.1 one and the one in the same row) that are unaffected by...
So I did a clean install of Mojave, having read that most of the issues with the integrated graphics chip was dealt in Mojave, as it recognizes our intel UHD 630 natively. To my surprise, I had the same exact problems. That was indeed whatevergreen that solved the problem for me, as several...
Sorry I wasn't able to answer more quickly, I live in the countryside, and I often have such bad bandwidth that I can’t even do basic, essential Internet stuff, such as reading this forum or looking for cat gifs.
Rather than explaining what problems I have, which is kind of hard for me to do in...
Ok, I thought I had installed Lilu and Whatevergreen but I must have forgotten something because it turned out that they weren't loaded. They are now (they appear as "loaded" in about this Mac/system report/extensions.
I've just installed them using the iDiot guide, and I'm in the process of...
Thank you for your answer. I just did and I still have this problem. It's strange because I thought I needed "Inject Intel" checked to get my system booting with F10, but apparently I doesn't.
Hi everyone,
I still have graphics issue with my build that I can’t seem to fix. I didn’t install a discreet graphic card so I’m using the internal intel chip. I do not rule out the possibility to get a RX 580 to add a monitor in the near future, but I’d like to buy a used GPU to save some €...
Thanks @jiffyslot for your advice. I didn't know about Ethernet audio interfaces! It seems that the existing ethernet interfaces are unfortunately too expensive for my budget though :( . But I'll take your advice and wait until NAMM is over. If I'm correct Focusrite released their USB Clarett...
Thank you all for your answers! I already bought all the parts and I chose BeQuiet Silent wings for the case fans. It's really silent and lets me keep the computer on 24/7, even though I'm sleeping in the same room.
Are you seeing the Aorus startup screen? Removing the battery / using the jumpers should have reset the BIOS (and deactivated fast BIOS if it was activated by previous owner). Maybe try to reset the CMOS using the reset CMOS button (it's located between the restart button and the OC button on...
I realize "suppr" is just "delete" on my French keyboard... But what I meant is that the key that does the trick for me is not the backspace key but the "delete" key. What kind of keyboard are you using exactly? Also try plugging your keyboard in a back panel USB port and try hitting the key...
I don't know which type of keyboard you're using, but on my apple keyboard, the touch that opens the BIOS is actually the "suppr" touch and not the "delete" one.
I can't seem to find this post again. I think I found it in Post Installation / Hardware Troubleshooting. But this was the same method that what is described at post #19 there.
It seems highly unpractical though.
I may be wrong, but since there are no real mac models with Optane onboard, that means no macOS Optane drivers. I read that some user on this forum had found a way to use his optane module in a Win10 / macOS dual boot scenario. But that implied changing BIOS setting every time they had to switch...
