    pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Hi pastrychef. Is your temp in Windows lower than in macOS? In Windows, my CPU is pinned to 5 GHz at idle (not 800 MHz as in macOS via power management) but runs cooler. I wonder whether macOS has greater overhead than Windows. Thoughts?

With each boot, UserEventAgent (consuming 80% of CPU) runs for a different amount of time. 30 minutes, 1 hour, non-stop. Usage doesn't decline. The process either consumes a lot or stops. That said, I'm happy (and nervous) to report the problem went away. I didn't change anything (to my...

Thanks for replying. I used HWMonitor. Power Gadget reports a similar frequency (i.e. 4.70 GHz). Please see attached.

    pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Hi pastrychef. I have the same CPU and motherboard as you. I specified i7-8700K in user config and used ssdtprgen.sh to generate ssdt.aml. appleintelinfo.kext recognizes the turbo frequency (i.e. 5.0 GHz), but macOS only runs as high as 4.65 GHz. Any idea why? Thank you.
