I don‘t have TB3 on my Mac :(

Hi, I just connected my iPad Pro 11 with a TB3 cable successfully. I entered the DFU mode and tried to connect again, with no luck :( Mac won't recognize my iPad in DFU mode. After rebooting my iPad, in showed up again in iTunes. Any ideas why this isn't working ?

No, I just realized that it is not a Thunderbolt cable, just a USB-C to USB-A cable. I'm not sure, if Thunderbolt devices connect to USB 3.1 type C cables Is there any news, why the new iPad Pro 11 will not connect with the Thunderbolt 3 port? Maybe because the original Apple cable is passive ?
