works on same motherboard with same config with vegA 64. Only thing that is different is ssdt.

I will get similar system soon , will help my other friend. Will try to make patch to avoid dsdt editing and injecting. So maybe will found a better way in a few weeks.

Why not to use OpenCore configurator if you have low skills on manual editing plist. The config was wrong!

in my opinion this problems realted to incorrect ssdt so try remove ssdt and add nullcpu. And maybe this is problem with VirtualSmc because my friend use fakesmc to boot ( virtualsmc is nit working for him)

hmm i got this on catalina with problem ssdt , ssdtprgen given some states which should removed manually. also check that virtualsmc is loadind. I think should try: NullCpuPowerManagment.kext and FakeSMC instead of VirtualSMC. I wist this will help you.

I asked my friend for sending me efi folder. He applied this patch and got boot installer. He is using RX580. The config looks ok so interesting why are you getting black screen

So that approves that need only first patch for Single socket configuration. And you need only first patch. If it will not help You can share your dsdt with me and I will try to make a patch for you.

ON X79 REMOVE Devices ^UNC0 and ^UNC1 in DSDT for dual socket as temporary solution.

This patch didn't help me but removing ^UNC0 and ^UNC1 did the job for c602 (dual-socket). Thanks a lot I've able to boot Big Sur with no issues. Thank you so much.

Please share a dsdt patch that you're applying. I try to adopt this to x79.
