Hi Guys,
I'm having a hell of a time with This.
I have the same board running 3570k and an r9 270x but without the thunderbolt. (Z77X-UD5H) Was ruining Mavericks/Chameleon forever and I decided to upgrade it to Clover/Mojave. Everything works perfectly. I've had no issues except one. I...
as you can see here the drive shows up under maverick which is installed on another SSD
Once more you can see it here from the windows installer
As you an see under mac os it's detected as a sata express drive. You don't need a SATA cable from the card. That's for adapter that sit on the...
I don't think that's the case as the drive detects perfectly by any operating system. I've even installed both windows and mac os on it, just clover wont see it. I'm really thinking that it might be cause it's SATA Express and not NVMe. Is there SATA express drivers for clover?
Yes they are there, that would not explain not seeing my cloned mavericks which is HFS as well as when I installed windows in it I have the needed NTFS and HFS .efi files inmu clover folder
I too thought that strange but disregarded it as I recall it would happen from time to time with hackintoshes I would build but still functions properly; also only in the Mojave Installer. If I boot maverick on my other SATA SSD it shows like an internal drive.
Bios F16j has NVMe support built in no BIOS mod needed. I've successfully used it with other NVMe drives.
I've installed Mojave, Cloned my mavericks install and even windows. The drive never appears under CBM
However it doesn't show up in the BIOS either even though other NVMe drives do...
So I have my old Hackintosh (z77ud5h/i5 3570k) that I'm giving abit of a refresh but have come across an issue.
I have an APPLE PCIe SSD i recovered from a macbook air that I put onto this adapter and installed it in the computer.
The issue is that clover does not see the drive, I have the...
Nice I Guess I have an Armo Brother in Arms Here.
But in all honestly I'm really getting tired of the entire naming game Apple has going on. Like seriously? Do they really think coming up with these stupid names actually means anything or is impressive somehow.
OSX IMO hasn't done...
Hey mikaelgr you need an XCMP Free Kernel for Mountain Lion. Mevericks Is abit more trickey to get running on this CPU I haven't had time to try yet!

newhacker1746 That is great News! (I am of the same mind as you I'm not a Vanilla Kernel Elitest, If it works while being fast and stable that's all that counts IMO)
If i have some time during the holidays I will give it a shot!
Thanks a Million, You rock!
79° C is fine but I'm not sure how graphic card intensive it is.. You will need something that will run the videocard at high load as well to simulate correctly.
Something 3d based
Hi Corduroy,
If you haven't already purchased the power supply you can go with something like this.

(DUAL FAN)
If you already have the 450 then definitely try it out with the Fan facing the case and see how it does. I think you gain about an...
Nice Colors. I initially wanted to leave the Silver parts original colors and paint the blue parts black but the case was far too badly scuffed and scratched.
The SFX PSU is great for creating a bit more space for the CPU and cooler. However I do not recommend one with bottom/top fan like...
You can hear the fans, around 40db (according to my cheep smart phone app)
Temperature idle or doing light stuff like browsing internet , playing videos, etc is around 40 degrees Celsius
while playing a games around 70
I do feel it's quieter then the original G4. You can really only...
So I have been running OSX on PC hardware all the way back since the Tiger days on a variety of computers that I've owned. However this is the first time I built one into an OLD Mac case. It took some work but I had a blast doing it and it turned out great.
So here are the meat and potatoes of...
So I'm trying to get maverick running on this awesome CPU, I've had full success with Mountain Lion 10.8.5 but no go on Maverick.
Did allot of reading, tried a whole lot of stuff. XCMP Free Kernels, patched AppleACPIPlatform.kext and Apple Intel CPU PowerManagement Kext, etc etc etc...

I Use to run NTFS for Mac v8 back on my SL Hackbook (ASUS G51J) I had a crash once and one of my NTFS drives got corrupted so I've stopped using it since then. Maybe I'll check out v10, there might have been some improvements since...
