Just a heads up - looks like Samsung 970 Evo Plus and potentially PM891 are now supported with a firmware update. https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/do-the-samsung-970-evo-plus-drives-work-new-firmware-available-for-testing-5-20-19.270757/page-14

Been using Mojave on my blade for months now with no issues. Had to boot into Windows for something and now anytime I try to boot back into Mojave I get the prohibited symbol. Booting with -v gives Hid legacy shim 2 and then KP. Any ideas or suggestions? Haven't changed a single thing about my...
For anyone interested, I've added support for the 2018 blade on a project that allows you to change the lighting modes on your keyboard. If I get more time I might try and turn it into something much more user friendly but I also didn't make the tool - I just added the proper offsets for the...
Yeah, using the all the latest kexts from post installation. It's especially odd as I don't remember changing anything at all and now it's just KP on every boot unless I remove VoodooI2C. Any insight or is this something I should go to the Voodoo thread for?
Haven't booted into osx in a while, and all of a sudden I'm getting a KP on boot and can only boot via my usb. If I delete VoodooI2C.kext from /Library/Extensions, I can boot fine without needing the usb. Can provide my DSDT if needed but figured I'd start with this
Yeah, using the newest build of Mojave. No issues for me at all, not sure if you're referring to the 1070 itself causing issues or the blade you have is the 1070 model - but I have the 1070 disabled in MacOS as I don't use an external display - so there is no need for me to have it enabled.
Updated to the newest kexts & patches last night and so far so good for me. No black screen when booting up and so far no KP/freezing. Thanks so much for the guide! Never was able to get trackpad functioning 100% on my old 2016 blade so it's nice to finally have a fully functioning hackintosh.
Did you do all the GPI0 pinning stuff required? I can try and write a patch for the blade that does it, but I'm not sure if the pin is the same on every blade or if it's different for every computer. Newest Voodoo works, just single touch like 1.0.4 so not sure if it's even that much more worth...
I have the Voodoo rewrite working but still no multitouch support due to synaptics. From what the dev said, it's being worked on in some form, but no eta.
Getting the 1060 to work would be real nice. Looking forward to updates on that
I got bored last night and decided to flash my bios. Disabled C9 and removed cpus=4 bootflag. So far no issues but probably not worth it to do for a normal person. Wonder if there will ever be a way to get all cpu's working without having to flash bios on Sierra/High Sierra. No-one has gotten...
Any easy way of going down to El Capitan and keeping my files or would I have to start all over and reinstall all of my programs? That DSDT fix for the battery isn't working for me. DSDT won't compile for some reason. It only gives me this error when I add that code though, once I undo it it...
Really tempted to try this but also don't want a $2500 brick  could you not just set cpus=8? I'm sure that's probably already been attempted though. Also, the one last thing I don't have working is my battery shows 100% and plugged in even if it isnt. Patched DSDT with the patch provided...
@uar did you ever get around to patching the new ACPI tables after updating the bios? I had to update mine because my fan was being real weird. Can't launch into Mac anymore because of it and I'm not 100% sure what how to patch them myself :(
I finally got my laptop up and running with High Sierra. Everything seems to be working properly except for the touchpad. I'm not updated to 10.13.1 so I should still be able to use the touchpad right? If anyone can help me get that working that would be great
