I think your motherboard may not need a DSDT. Check in the Downloads section to see if that's true. Otherwise, you can download one there. Are you saying that the Clover boot selection screen isn't coming up? When you say installation menu, are you referring to the OS X Yosemite install menu?
This is an outstanding guide. I really appreciate the time and effort it took to prepare and write this. My problem is that I have the exact same motherboard as Jaymonkey the GA z77z UD5H and am having one heck of a time getting iMessage and FaceTime to work. I can access the Skydive and the App...
How To Install OS X Yosemite Using Clover - iMessage_debug not returning ROM, MLB values
I'm trying to get iMessage_debug to work, but it's not returning the ROM or MLB values. Interestingly, it did when I tried to run this before. I am getting all other values. I have a GA-Z77Z-UD5HP...
Article: UniBeast: Install OS X Mavericks on Any Supported Intel-based PC
On this motherboard, the second network is Atheros rather than Realtek so you might want to change that. I am going to use the 1080p display settings and the iMac 13,2 system as you did. I didn't find the settings for...
Article: UniBeast: Install OS X Mavericks on Any Supported Intel-based PC
I got this error with iWork that I bought several years ago on CD at Best Buy. I uninstalled and then reinstalled it and that didn't help. I think there may be a problem with the oldest versions of iWork on CD. My...
Article: UniBeast: Install OS X Mavericks on Any Supported Intel-based PC
If you have an Intel CPU with a built-in GPU, try using that before using the Nvidia card. I'm not sure the 9500 is supported, but it's pretty common. I would enable the Intel CPU's built-in graphics processing unit...
Article: OS X 10.8.5 Supplemental Update 1.0
Same here. The install went OK, but got messages after the Apple updates saying the install failed and then after reinstalling the drivers with Multibeast 5.5.2 also got a message from the installer saying it failed. It didn't. This looks like a...
I can't see this happening. Apple would lose a lot of its clout in negotiating deals for the peripherals it includes in its systems and would have to write its own drivers for almost every piece of hardware out there. This would be a very expensive undertaking using funds that I think Apple...
Not booting here, either. Have tried almost all of the fixes suggested but no go. Last message was starting PCI Configuratiion and then it froze. Using a Gigabyte P55a-USB3 with Radeon 6870. Also tried booting off of a nvidia GT260i and no go. Suggestions greatly appreciated.
I think the UniBeast info for this series of adapters may be faulty. (The Kexts, I guess.) I used a workaround similar to others in that I installed an nVidia GT260 in place of the 6870 until the install completed. After installing the 6870, Mountain Lion ran just fine. I have to admit that the...
Those who are seeing sluggish scores: I am wondering if you ran an Upgrade install rather than a new install. I first ran an Upgrade install, and it was slower than Lion. I also had problems with transparent icons. After running a new install and going through the usual hoops of installing...
Hi All,
After struggling for a couple of days, I finally got my ALC892 audio working. The answer takes two steps. Remove any HDAEnabler8** kexts in System\Library\Extensions. (Make a backup by copying them to your Desktop before you delete them.)
Use MultiBeast to install the ALC892 audio...
I have the P55A USB3 motherboard (rev. 2 with BIOS 9) and it appears to be working OK after some real pains with the video card. The one thing I have yet to get working, unfortunately, is sound. The System Report shows the sound but using the MIDI-Audio app shows nothing. No matter how many...
The only way I have found to restore these is to do a full new install. I had to use an nVidia GTX260 video card in place of the ATI 6870 for the UniBeast install. After it completed, I replaced the nVidia with the ATI card, and all of the icons were there. Now, I just have to solve my no sound...
I'm trying an install over a clean 10.6.8 to see if that makes a difference. The other things I tried didn't work. I may also switch out to an older nVidia adapter until the install finishes.
Well, I ran another reinstall over the earlier installation, and it still didn't repair the problem. I may just go for a bare installation and reinstall all of the apps and iTunes purchases to see if that helps.
I do not think so. Or if you did, you would still have to use Multibeast booting off Unibeast before you could access the new in Mountain Lion by booting directly from it.
