Thanks @pbryanw, I will give this a shot today. I am looking good now other than my Bluetooth issue. Need to get some wire adapters at my local computer store to address. Was thinking about my backup clover USB stick, I would just need to do the following steps you mentioned to update the stick...
@pbryanw I got both OS's working and they show up in Clover and I can boot to both with no issues. osMac is my default, which is what I want. I need to figure out how to remove the extra Window's icons in Clover (see attached image)
@pbryanw I have finnaly gotten Windows 10 to install, had to disable the 3rd HDD I had installed (formated for MAC) and it installed with no issues. I decided to format this HDD drive for Windows, since I will be doing more gaming on Windows. This leads me to my question. You said:
Does this...
@Going Bald One other question, should I use the rufus tool or just use the Windows Media Creation tool to create my Win10 bootable USB? There are alot of post suggestion both methods, but unsure which one is the best recommendation today.
Thanks for the info. I will give it a shot once I get Windows back online. I ran into another error screen after doing Going Bald's suggestion. I kept the macOS SSD disabled for the install. Waiting for his response.
Yes, I got the on-board sound working and the graphics card (web drivers) are working now! Many Thanks! One thing I did see when looking at the FakePCIID kexts was a solution for HDMI sound, have you done anything with this? I have my Hackintosh hooked up to a Vizio Monitor (TV really) that does...
@Going Bald I have been working with @pbryanw on getting some of my issues worked out with my Sierra install and I have now moved on to loading Win10 on a seperate SSD. @pbryanw gave me some additional steps to follow along w/ your initial instrustion in this post, but I am running into the...
@pbryanw I am going to see if I can find an adapter to help with my Broadcom cable tomorrow. One more topic to ask, I bought a seperate SSD to load Windows10 and running into some problems.
I am following the instructions laid out here...
@pbryanw Thanks for your continued support. The Broadcom shows up in the USB system parameter, so I need to figure out how to turn the USB cable around. The problem is, the cable is a true 9 pin cable.
Question, the directions seem a bit unclear for the BrcmPatchRam, do I need to also include the non-Patch Ram kext as well as the BrcmPatchRAM2.kext & BrcmFirmwareData.kext?
@pbryanw Thanks! This is a great tool! I was able to load it and test it out. I see how using the USB boot method to test is a safer way to test out config/file changes.
@pbryanw The Bluetooth problem is still driving me crazy. Still not showing up under my hardware profile. I took a picture of where I plugged in my wire. Not sure what else it could be, maybe a bad wire or card?
It's the 9 pin on the very right, the one on the left is for my Corsair Hydro...
Yes, I've checked and either string or integer should be fine - just add Lilu.kext and AppleALC.kext for onboard sound to work. I've also attached a picture of what your sound preferences should look like in macOS after this has been done (ignore the Audioengine device as it is just a USB sound...
First, thank you @pbryanw and @RehabMan for your assistance. I was able to successfully follow your process and remove the FakeGPU Kext from my system. I am able to boot back to mac with no problems. Thanks!
Is there a thread that can walk me through the Clover USB Stick back process?
