You dont have to unplug the displayport monitor, just turn it off @ the power button on the front. Once the boot is done turn on.
works for me with a 1060 with the same problem . You can run 2 monitors from 2 other ports but its the DP that is the problem.
I run 3 monitors and only got this...
I have to turn off my 4k middle screen (display port) until the boot up is done then its cool.
Other 2 screens are 1080p using dvi and hdmi.
If I dont the thing wont boot. maybe try booting with different screen combo's turned on.
Not upluged from the computer, just turned off with power button...
