    I had the same problem. I also got 4k@60hz on Windows 10, but on macOS not. Some people are saying that you need a gpu with HDMI 2.0 or above, well the GT740 is HDMI 1.4.

    I have a MacBookAir7,2 (13"-inch Model from 2015) and it has the same pixelated areas you mentioned. I think this is a regulary Apple 'issue' and not caused by your gpu.

    Hello mate, sure, here you got it. But I removed the SMBIOS because you would have the same serial number if you use my EFI folder, so don't forget to add a SMBIOS with GenSMBIOS. Please tell me, if my EFI helped you.

    Just for the case somebody gets the same error one day, I found the problem. Try another SMBIOS. That's what caused the problem in my case. On Catalina I used iMac14,2 (Haswell), now I'm using iMac16,1 for the installer. I hope the installation will be successfully. Have a nice day/night
