Tried this method and it didn't work in HS.... For now I am giving up on getting this card to work with HS....I put my R7 270 back in and threw the 390X back into my Windows rig... Thanks for trying to help out...I appreciate it... Take it easy J

Just Google AppleALC kext and you will find it. Place it in your Clover-Kext-Other folder with Lilu kext...you can Google that one too if you don't have it. Just copy and paste them in the Clover folder I just mentioned..then reboot..should work J

Strange..my on-board ALC892 is working after I added the most recent AppleALC kext and Lilu kext...I am assuming you did that? J

Hey Gigamaxx... I finally got around to swapping my R9 390x back into my system and trying your suggestion. No dice...unfortunately! Ugh... It will boot with the iGPU selected in BIOS..but once I get into Sierra it won't let me switch to the 390x... Oh well...I think I have exhausted all avenues...

Hey Gigamaxx.. I am still trying to get this damn Msi R9 390x card running in either Sierra or HS....I tried using Lilu and Whatevergreen (per your suggestion) a while back and never got those to work. The card works no problem in my Windows system... So far I have tried using the FakeID...

From what I have seen so far apfs overwrites any hps file system. A couple of beta updates ago it forced my hps to use apfs..that is usually a sign of things to come Whatever Rehabman says is true...he is the Master!!! J

No problems upgrading here...except still no support for my R9 390x card. So I am using my R7... Asus A-97 motherboard R7 370 1TB SSD Really hope the non-beta has support for my R9...it will be nice to use my 8gb card again J

Hey Guys, I upgraded to HS Beta 4 today and got the Error loading kernel cache message. I have tried the -f (and other suggestions I found online and in the forums). Still have had no luck getting the system to load. Any suggestions from anyone? I have attached the screen shot. I am stumped...

Wayne, No worries...thanks for getting back to me. I appreciate it. I tried what you suggested too. Still getting the same result. I went ahead and threw my R7 370 back in for now since I am able to get it to work. I guess I will have to wait and see if the final version of HS has 390X support...

It seems to be fixed with the newest version of Clover that is out now..ver 4152 J

Did you add a Fake ID? 0x67EF should be the one for that card. Open Clover, mount your EFI drive, then add the Fake ID. Also you may want to add the Framebuffer name. Try "Acre" first for the Framebuffer... Also..make sure not to Inject ATI Good luck J

I saw this happen on my buddy's hackintosh and he had to disable "deep sleep mode" he said... Not sure if that helps or not J
