    Windows Not Showing in Clover

OK! I got it. Thanks for the tip! I used the built-in MBR2GPT tool to convert to a GPT UEFI installation. Clover automatically picked up the new partition and it works! Even boots a bit faster now, so that's nice

    Windows Not Showing in Clover

Oh Thanks for the Tip! It looks like it is, indeed in Legacy BIOS mode. Is there any way for me to change that wihtout reinstalling?

    Windows Not Showing in Clover

I'm having a weird issue where windows won't show up in clover for me. I have windows on a separate SSD, but the only way for me to get to it is by overriding the BIOS boot drive priority. Just a few things I've noted and tried: In clover my hidden volumes are only Preboot and Recovery...

Kernel Panic on Boot - AppleHDA related?

Update: It definitely is related to AppleALC.kext . If I use the boot arg -alcoff it doesn't kernel panic. Does that mean I have something configured wrong with AppleALC?

Kernel Panic on Boot - AppleHDA related?

Maybe I'm not understanding how it all works, but when I moved the kexts out of /L/E and just put them in clover/kexts/other that just resulted in the kexts not working at all

Kernel Panic on Boot - AppleHDA related?

When I was zipping up the clover kexts folder I made the realization that there are a few kexts I have in both Libraries/Extensions and also in EFI/Clover/Kexts/Others. The duplicates are AppleALC IntelMausiEthernet and WhateverGreen. Could that be an issue? The zipped contents of EFI/Clover is...

Kernel Panic on Boot - AppleHDA related?

I recently updated to Catalina and about a week after the update I've started having the weirdest issue where it will kernel panic on boot. The only solution I've found is to boot into safe mode and use hackintool's "rebuilde KextCache and repair permissions". This will allow me to boot...

    Crash on iGPU 9900k - Mojave 10.14.6

I've been having sporadic crashes and I've narrowed it down to something to do with the 9900k iGPU. With my Vega 56 in the system, the crashes are more sporadic and Google Earth oddly seems to be the best way to trigger them. When I remove the graphics card from the system and just use the iGPU...

    Mojave Crashes - iGPU/GPU related?

After a little bit of further research, I found that the gpu fan control guide is also listed as a pinned thread under the graphics part of this forum. I have no GPU fans with or without the fixes mentioned there [EDIT: After Running Luxmark I verified that the GPU fans do, in fact spin up under...

    Mojave Crashes - iGPU/GPU related?

I just built a new system and I'm having trouble with system crashes. There is no kernel panic or "your system shut down because of a problem" message. The screen just goes black and I'm back to the BIOS. I'm guessing it's GPU related, because it seems to happen more frequently when I'm using...

    Wrong 4k scaling

So I just set up a 4k TV with my machine, and I'm having trouble getting it to work correctly. It reads as a hidpi 4k display just fine. And if I go to the "smallest" setting it says it's true 4k. But looking at the screen I can tell you it is definitely not rendering at that revolution. Based...
