    Stable machine receives kernel panic

Ahh ok, that actually makes the most sense to as it's the only thing that was regular getting updates alongside the OS updates. Thanks for letting me know!

    Stable machine receives kernel panic

Hey! So my Hackintosh has been incredibly stable the last few months but I did get hit with a kernel panic yesterday and was just curious what might have been the cause. I've attached a shot of the last thing printed to the screen (apologies for cutting off the top line). I hadn't actually...

What do you think of this build? $5000 Video Editing Machine

Hey sorry for just responding now I haven't been on here for awhile. The major kinks for myself really just came down to user error and experimenting as this was my first Hackintosh build but for the most part, I followed this guide. I did have a few issues with CPU power management which I...

What do you think of this build? $5000 Video Editing Machine

It's been great! It did take me awhile to get it stable enough to be my daily machine but that mostly came down to my lack of hackintoshing experience. I've been using in since August of last year and once I worked out the kinks it's been incredibly stable since. I'd only change one thing...

    The Perfect Customac-Pro: X99-A II, i7-6950X, 128GB G.Skill TridentZ, Aorus GTX 1080 TI Xtreme

That's been my process for all of my installs. The only thing I didn't realise was that after installing clover, adding the kexts from your guide and adding OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi was that I'd then need to install clover onto the USB again after making those changes to the EFI. I do...

    The Perfect Customac-Pro: X99-A II, i7-6950X, 128GB G.Skill TridentZ, Aorus GTX 1080 TI Xtreme

Sorry KGP, where I've gone wrong is not reinstalling clover after adding in OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi and the kexts from the EFI I sent you. I've done the exact process you've just described and am currently just getting "kmod start.com.app" as the last line in -v mode with no install screen...

    The Perfect Customac-Pro: X99-A II, i7-6950X, 128GB G.Skill TridentZ, Aorus GTX 1080 TI Xtreme

That completely makes sense, thank you for clarifying that. No I installed Clover, then after it had created the EFI partition I copied the EFI files I sent you over the EFI partition Clover had created then attempted an install. Do I then have to reinstall clover after copying those files...

    The Perfect Customac-Pro: X99-A II, i7-6950X, 128GB G.Skill TridentZ, Aorus GTX 1080 TI Xtreme

Sorry KGP, I defiantly did read and understood what you were saying regarding disk utility not formatting the EFI partition created by clover I just wanted to clarify that Clover would write over a partition it had previously made if I were to reinstall the EFI via clover which you've confirmed...

    The Perfect Customac-Pro: X99-A II, i7-6950X, 128GB G.Skill TridentZ, Aorus GTX 1080 TI Xtreme

Sorry I defiantly wasn't trying to mislead anyone. I didn't realise that formatting with those settings via disk utility wouldn't format the EFI of the USB I was using, I think that's where hopefully all my problems have arised from. What I've done now is formatted that USB I was previously...

    The Perfect Customac-Pro: X99-A II, i7-6950X, 128GB G.Skill TridentZ, Aorus GTX 1080 TI Xtreme

Haha I'm sure I'll get it working eventually! Hopefully... aha Judging my the amount of people with a successful install with your guide it's defiantly user error (me) at fault here! :( When I format the USB itself (not the partition but the usb itself) in Disk utility does that remove the...

    The Perfect Customac-Pro: X99-A II, i7-6950X, 128GB G.Skill TridentZ, Aorus GTX 1080 TI Xtreme

I formatted it via Disk Utility formatting the entire USB (not just the partition) with "Mac Os Journaled" and "GUID Partition Map". I've also attached that below. 1.) I'll go ahead and do that! 2.) I defiantly won't do that again, I see how much of a mistake that was now. Normally I wouldn't...

    The Perfect Customac-Pro: X99-A II, i7-6950X, 128GB G.Skill TridentZ, Aorus GTX 1080 TI Xtreme

I actually reformatted the entire USB (not just the install partition) in case the install failed because the USB wasn't correctly formatted but you're right I should of just formatted the install partion of the USB and re-attempted the install without formatting the efi partition as well...

I actually haven't been able to boot into the installer since then :/ everything is exactly the same except I re-formatted the USB, installed Sierra onto it and put the EFI I sent you back onto the USB. I can't thank you enough for helping me so far, I've already spent the better part of the...

Bummer it was defiantly stuck at 100% then :( Thanks! I'll confirm the bios settings and try again. Edit: Switched over to a USB2 and had no luck either :/ Edit* Weird as heck, actually started working I got to the initial screen asking you to connect a mouse it then crashed once I went to...

Don't worry I defiantly will be double checking everything :) I'll take a look! Still waiting on that install... it's sitting at 100% so hopefully it reaches the installation screen soon. Thanks so much for your help!

Sorry about that for most of the attempted installs it was set to x2000 just for a couple I changed it to x3000 just in case. It actually looks like it's working now! It's almost at the end of the progress bar but I'll report back and let you know. Could it of possibly been the usb ports I was...

I believe so, I'm using v2.4k r4128. Alright I'll go ahead and double check! I really hope it is. Also, I just changed from x3000 x2000 for boot and switched from debug mode to have a look at the normal load screen and I have the apple logo with the bar progressing... Is this what I should...

    The Perfect Customac-Pro: X99-A II, i7-6950X, 128GB G.Skill TridentZ, Aorus GTX 1080 TI Xtreme

Embarrassingly enough I did while hiding a windows partition in the clover configurator GUI tab that I didn't want to see but managed to hide all my partitions and wasn't able to boot from clover of course. I didn't have a proper backup at the time and when I modified the plist file via booting...
