I'm 99% sure the problem is now solved. (I think the one instance I saw it since was when a website was loading or refreshing, which is oddly normal). I think it was just because the EFI file was missing or I needed to spoof a 2048MB GPU. Thank you so much @Mrgeque @Feartech @jaymonkey for your...
I removed those parameters, installed kexts instead of inject, and added the VirtualSMC EFI. Anything else I should do?
I think the VirtualSMC.efi not being there was the issue. Could not having that cause graphical issues @Feartech @Mrgeque @jaymonkey
Thats the guide I used, i opened a ticket in the GitHub Repository but haven’t heard anything back. I’ll try posting there as well.
Also about the desktop SMBIOS, good to know.
Ill be sure to locally install the kexts to /Library/Extensions for now on. I’ll try adding that EFI And removing those config entries, but yes I’ve tried different SMBIOS (iMac18,1 MacBookPro14,1)
It definitely has as I'm accustomed to the Unix ecosystem, and you've done a really good job explaining things. But until tomorrow, where hopefully I'm either saved, it worked, or we find a solution ourselves.
Okay, the problem is the glitch will show itself when it wants to. Like it took 15-20 minutes to realize it was still an issue last time. Nothing yet but I'll be using this device tomorrow so I'll definitely know by the end of the day and we can do some more troubleshooting
Thanks a lot for...
That's for sure. Hopefully the Mods might be able to give in input tomorrow. Might be a whole different angle from another dimension. If you want we can continue this tomorrow?
I don't usually put any kexts in /L/E, I just inject them using Clover. But yes I'm using the latest. I'll try booting with '-wegdbg dart=0 lilucpu=10'
I don't think we're off the hook sadly. And I'll be here for any linux needs. The screen just glitched out..... I really thought we had it. :/
I appreciate your help so far. I don't know why my laptop is being so stubborn with macOS.
Oh I wouldn't get any graphical glitches before when doing those actions. The problem was occasionally the screen would flash black and then return to normal, no rhyme or reason, it could be idle and do that or I could be loading a webpage. But as of now no, no glitches. I appreciate your help...
None yet, but it can be deceiving, as I thought I'd found "solutions" in the past just to learn that they don't work. They aren't constant and are spread out, but since a reboot of applying those properties I haven't seen any. Only time will tell. If an hour goes by without one I'll be pretty...
