    Gen5 SSDs on Hackintosh

Someone tried the GE Pro with the other controller too. Didn't work :/ @trs96 it's fun being on the cutting edge of technology, forgetting numerical gains

    Gigabyte Z690 Aero G + i5-12600K + AMD RX 6800 XT

To be fair it's pretty clear it should be on, and not just here but most recommended BIOS settings on hackintosh builds tend to have it on - - not a knock on @CaseySJ at all. But yeah we could totally update that post to say try it off if you have sleep / wake issues, or something to that effect...

    Gigabyte Z690 Aero G + i5-12600K + AMD RX 6800 XT

Just solved repeated sleep on my 14700KF with Vega 56! Believe it or not, it was the opposite of this for me. Above 4G decoding and all 3 off. We knew the Re-Size BAR Support would be off since it's an older card, so the other two were a surprise. Funny because my gut always felt like Above 4G...

    Gigabyte Z690 Aero G + i5-12600K + AMD RX 6800 XT

either one really. Does anyone else here have sleep working consistently? It seems to be a common problem that it doesn't work the second time! Wondering if there's any common fix for it or if no one has solved it on this board. It's odd that it works fine the first time. so the functionality...

I have a 14700KF so no aperture / iGPU settings are available

    Gigabyte Z690 Aero G + i5-12600K + AMD RX 6800 XT

I have all ports mapped properly and using the Fenvi T919 or onboard Intel AX211 yields the same result. It seems to sleep fine the first time, then the second sleep it just won't sleep and essentially freezes

    Gigabyte Z690 Aero G + i5-12600K + AMD RX 6800 XT

Hey all I see there was quite some discussion on sleep / wake and I wanted to see if we reached some solid resolution on that? I do see @mattbatt found for the "computer shutdown because of a problem" we need to use a clean cpufrienddataprovider and it'll solve that. Any consensus on the sleep...

Hackintosh sometimes sleeps, sometimes doesn't + shutdown stall (logs and OC included)

Tried unplugging the onboard ax211 (no way to disable it in bios that I could see) and disabling the Bluetooth kexts + the airportitwlm kext. Same issue There used to be a fixshutdown entry in clover which would fix this in a pinch. Any ideas here?

Hackintosh sometimes sleeps, sometimes doesn't + shutdown stall (logs and OC included)

Hey all! Hope all are well! I just built a new rig to replace the old one. Yeah...the one with the stutters This one is lightning quick, and man I love it! It runs absolutely great when everything's on! Everything runs perfectly, except airdrop and handoff since it's Intel Wi-Fi. There's a...

    Gen5 SSDs on Hackintosh

Excuse me for the delay, rolled my ankle bad, etc. I used it as an OS drive, for system, for both of them. I could imagine it faring differently as a data drive, but it's still likely to cause the KP here and there. I could be wrong on this, but in fact, I do remember even the Gen4 drive OS...

    Gen5 SSDs on Hackintosh

Z540 crashes / KP less than Aorus Gen5, but still does it frequently. T700 was tested by another user as well to crash as much as Aorus Gen5 MP700 hasn't been tested yet Will pre order the Team GE Pro on Amazon which will be the first gen5 SSD not having the Phison E26 controller...

Z690 Chipset Motherboards and Alder Lake CPU

I....don't think I can link it? This is my third time writing this comment and it gets deleted with any portion of the link. I suppose I can DM it to you. Just some discussion between the three of us there. No one's an expert but I'm more than happy to work with some of you guys to get some...

Macro Stutters / Freezing for 1-3s then catching up and continuing to work normally

Good point, the Sabrent remained plugged in throughout First had only the Sabrent. Then it happened with the Sabrent + A440. Then the externals with those 2 remaining inside. But I did just encounter it with only the A440, yesterday :/ Thank you for helping! This is a crazy problem that goes...

Graphics card not being detected by software (Premiere, Lightroom and others) but getting macOS graphic acceleration

In videoproc preferences / settings you can see the rundown I downloaded Insta360 to see what you see and help you out, I managed to get a sample file and work on an export. I'm also seeing more CPU usage than GPU usage. a 4s file took about 1 min to export Some softwares say H/W...

Z690 Chipset Motherboards and Alder Lake CPU

Got an Aorus Gen5 12000, it's giving a "3rd party nvme controller" panic / crash right after boot Someone else with a T700 also got the same w/ and w/o nvmefix Someone said the Z540 performs much more reliably, but still occasionally crashes on desktop. can anyone see, what might be the...

    Hackintosh Sonoma Keep shutting Down

coincidentally having the same with 3rd party name controller with an aorus gen5 12000 ssd system runs fine with an m2 in an external enclosure so EFI looks okay. maybe to try the aorus in the enclosure....

    Gen5 SSDs on Hackintosh

Any consensus on em? Surprised there isn't much about it Found someone having kernel panics and reboots with a T700, just like me with the Aorus Gen5 12000 :/. someone mentioned some stability with a Teamgroup Z540 so bought one now Happy to try any other things while I have this Aorus

Macro Stutters / Freezing for 1-3s then catching up and continuing to work normally

Possible, but it has occurred across 3 SSDs. I've tried macOS installs on all of them. I think 4 perhaps, 2 tried externally and 2 internally
