    Z790 Chipset & Raptor Lake

I sadly have not had time to tamper with my build since my last post. (-___-) Sadness. But I was wondering how Sonoma was treating everyone, on this hardware? (O,0) I decidedly upgraded my Laptop (Macbook Air M2) from Montery to Ventura, last weekend, and was devastated to learn that there's a...

    Z790 Chipset & Raptor Lake

Thank you sincerely for your advice! (^-^) It took my awhile to get around to it, but I eventually applied the recommendations, and have been attempting regular creative-use for a little bit, now. Alas, no improvements. (-___-) Sigh... Finder still operates slow. Still giving me a "Loading..."...

    Z790 Chipset & Raptor Lake

My build is unstable. (-___-) I have spent like 3 weekends trying to get my new desktop to work, but alas. Just when I thought I finally got it. I still have not. For easy access... CPU: Intel 13th Gen 13900K-i9 Mobo: Gigabyte Aorus Z790 Elite AX Rev 1.1 RAM: Corsair Vengeance 64gb (2x32gb)...

    Z790 Chipset & Raptor Lake

My sincerest apologies, I never meant to communicate incorrect information. Based on everything that I have read from guides, articles and forum discussions alike for many years, along with my own mapping experience, this is how I have misunderstood USB Mapping. I was misled by tools notating...

And all of your ports work with both USB2 and USB3 devices? (O,0) Oh, heads up, it may or may not be causing problems, but it looks like your "Connector" list is inaccurate. (O,0) Each USB3-compatible port should have a USB2.0 and a USB3.0 connector, which is why you're seeing duplicates...

It's been so long since I've done this, this was very helpful. -(^-^)- Thank you.

    Z790 Chipset & Raptor Lake

Question. I was reading on various sites that OpenCore 0.9.3 fixed the port limit patch, for Monterey/Ventura. Before my re-map, I was still limited, though. I'm hoping it was self-error, and my new map corrects it. But is this rumor true? I don't recall seeing anything in the patch notes.

    Z790 Chipset & Raptor Lake

@Edhawk & @suren6791 Yeah, I've done it before, on my previous build. You typically would drag an identical copy of the home folder onto the new disk, leave a backup/testing/admin account on the original disk along with an empty folder with the same name as the moved profile. Then you would...

    Z790 Chipset & Raptor Lake

Has everyone here had success moving their User profile to another disk? I started from scratch, and finally had what appeared to be a solid bootdrive working. Custom SSDTs and a working USB Map. I gave up on getting the Intel Bluetooth to work, so settled and plugged in the Fenvi. Everything...

[HOW TO] USB ports map for macOS with USBToolBox

Well of course! (^ ^) Through a series of unplugging and plugging back in both, I tested each. I'm rather in favor of having airdrop through the Fenvi and a higher internet speed through the Intel. We'll see if it holds up. if not, I'll just end up unplugging the Intel. All good.

[HOW TO] USB ports map for macOS with USBToolBox

Yeah, I finally gave up and just plugged in my Fenvi. Bluetooth all good, now. Very unusually, though, both Mac and Windows are now picking up both my Fenvi and Intel Wifi signals (when both are plugged in, of course). It makes selecting Wifi a little wonky, in Mac, but if I toggle things on and...

[HOW TO] USB ports map for macOS with USBToolBox

Yeah, I just ended up resorting to Hackintool. (> <) Seems fine, so far, but still need to test port speeds. (^ ^) ..Still experiencing issues getting my Bluetooth to turn on while using my mobo-Intel card, though.. Hm.. ...I could just plug in my Fenvi, but I'm stubborn, and still want to try...

    Z790 Chipset & Raptor Lake

Whelp, that's strange. After not touching anything for 2 days, I booted up my test-install of Ventura, and suddenly WiFi working off the Intel card. Still no Bluetooth. I must be missing something. I'm jealous of your upload speed. The first attached screenshot is what I pulled, on my Intel...

[HOW TO] USB ports map for macOS with USBToolBox

Thank you for the thorough guide. Very helpful. I just built a new computer, and am trying to build my USB Map on Windows10, using USBToolBox version 0.2. When I select option D, to Discover Ports, the entire script holds up on "Getting Controllers..." for what appears to be an indefinite period...

    Z790 Chipset & Raptor Lake

Yeah, I've been clearing my NVRAM every time I make a change or reboot. (^ ^) Very useful Tool. I sadly didn't have a whole lot of time to do much of anything, last night, but am relieved that simply plugging my Windows10 SSD directly into my new system booted up 100%, with no issues. ;(^¬^)...

    Z790 Chipset & Raptor Lake

Yeah, that's what I feared, haha. (T¬T) The Fenvi has always seemed pretty solid, but man, it's so old, a Bluetooth and Wifi boost would still be nice. (> <)

    Z790 Chipset & Raptor Lake

Yeah, that's what I thought. • My current board is the 'Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX Rev 1.1' • Its specs page says that its Wifi/Bluetooth Card is, "Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211, supporting 2.4/5/6GHz freq. & BT 5.3, supporting 11ax 160MHz wireless up to 2.4Gbps data" • Dortania recommended...

    Z790 Chipset & Raptor Lake

Tiny question outside of the big conversation happening, right now.. ;(O,0) Are Fenvi/other 3rd-party Bluetooth/Wifi cards still required for Z790/13th Raptor? Dortania's guide gave the impression that macOS may be able to start using native-mobo wifi/bluetooth, now, but I don't know how...

    Z790 Chipset & Raptor Lake

Where did you get the Z790-specific SSDTs? I'll build my own, as soon as I can get an OS on my system, but for now, I don't mind using pre-made kits.
