macOS High Sierra is Now Available on the Mac App Store

Just reporting my direct update went smooth... Updated Lilu.kext, IntelGraphicsFixup.kext, NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext, and AppleALC.kext in EFI/Clover/kexts/Other. Not sure I needed to, but because I was updating Lilu, I updated everything that used Lilu Put apfs.efi in EFI/Clover/drivers64UEFI...

Kaby Lake i3-7100, HD630 Graphics - is sleep possible?

I believe so. It's the same for Skylake using HD530.

    Skylake HD530 - Sleeps but won't wake

No kexts installed. Works out of the box, including sleep/wake.

    CPU/GPU temps monitoring?

wow - that is strange. You got me then - not sure what the issue could be. The Z170 is a pretty common mobo.

    CPU/GPU temps monitoring?

Ok. Just make sure you only have one FakeSMC, and it's the one associated with the *Sensors.kext files and put them all in the same place. And leave out the GPUSensors one... for sure that's where your system was kernel panicking. You can see it in your screen shots. Look about 1/2 way down...

[Guide] USB power property injection for Sierra (and later)

Should have put that in ... when I plug iPad into my MacBook Pro, I get 1.5A indicated on the USB power meter. Screen_Shot_2017-06-04_at_9_13_45_AM by Steve28 posted Jun 4, 2017 at 9:18 AM Which is what I expect. However, on my Hack, I see this same info in the System Information and only get...

    CPU/GPU temps monitoring?

Well, you should only have one - because you don't know which one it's loading otherwise and you need them to be consistent. Take out the GPUSensors.kext and see if it boots then. I bet you're using Pascal graphic card - there's a known issue with GPUSensors.kext and the new cards.

[Guide] USB power property injection for Sierra (and later)

Much appreciated. BTW, there still is something weird going on. I don't suppose you would have a USB meter to be able to see if you are getting the indicate current from the ports...? For example with my iPad at 50% state-of-charge, and I plug into any port (2.0 or 3.0) that's directly on my...

[Guide] USB power property injection for Sierra (and later)

Oh - was hoping you could take a look just to make sure I did the patching correctly... ioreg and clover folder attached. Thanks!
  10. Steve28

    Almost completed.

Make sure you have a working NVRAM. If you don't you need to run the clover installer again and (in addition to what's already checked, you need to install EmuVariableUefi-64 and RC scripts on target disk.

    CPU/GPU temps monitoring?

You should only have ONE FakeSMC. IT should only be in the Other folder along with ALL of the other kexts. REMOVE ALL OTHER COPIES. Edit - let me be clear(er): you should only have one. It can be where you choose, and it should be along side the sensors kexts. It's easier if you just put...

    CPU/GPU temps monitoring?

looks like you don't have FakeSMC in the correct place. It can't find it - that's why the panic. You sure you have it ONLY in /EFI/Clover/kexts/other? No where else? And along with all of the other kexts?

    CPU/GPU temps monitoring?

Something's messed up... you definitely only are supposed to use one FakeSMC. I have all of my kexts installed in "other" - what's the kp message?
  14. Steve28

    CPU/GPU temps monitoring?

yes - the FakeSMC/Sensors kexts are a "matched set" you just need the one you have in the "other" folder delete the ones in /S/L/E and /L/E you just one one FakeSMC

[Guide] USB power property injection for Sierra (and later)

yeah prob. So, you saw no issues with my patching?
  16. Steve28

    CPU/GPU temps monitoring?

do: kextstat | grep sens and see if your sensor kexts are loading. Also, are you sure you don't have a FakeSMC somewhere in your OS X /S/L/E or /L/E?

[Guide] USB power property injection for Sierra (and later)

I did the "combined" SSDT... iPad/iPhone charge now. Still not sure what my actual mobo is capable of (GA-H110N). I do have one of those cheap USB power monitor things. The odd thing is when I connect using that to my USB 2.0 front panel USB, it shows 4.67V and 0.67A and the iPad says "Not...

    CPU/GPU temps monitoring?

easiest thing to do is go to http://hwsensors.com/releases download the latest binaries and put them wherever you currently have your FakeSMC installed (the one included can replace that one). Then when you reboot, run the HWMonitor.app and you will have all kinds of stats

    ALC887 Will not work whatsoever!

I have the same chip as you and was able to get this working like so: First, make sure you are starting with a native/virgin AppleHDA.kext as it's installed by MacOS, in the location it's installed by MacOS. As Toleda said, you don't need to touch/alter this file and don't have another one...

[100% Working] 12+6 Pin Apple WiFI/BT Card to M.2 NGFF Adapter! Handoff! Unlock with Watch! UEFI!

Oh man... so, it turns out most antennas you see on Amazon & eBay and the like for U.Fl connectors, which are slightly bigger than MHF4 connectors. The U.Fl connectors are for PCIe / Mini PCIe cards... and MHF4 are for the M.2 (NGFF) wifi cards. It turns out the apple cards use the MHF4...
