[Update] Sierra on the Skylake H170N-WIFI

I have this build running like golden, 10.12.4, everything works, but I found some glitchy thing going on with my screen when I view for example Youtube videos on Full Screen. Connection over HDMI. It's starts flickering and jumping around. Anyone has this issue?

For what exactly? Everything you need you can find in this thread or in thread dedicated to running Sierra on this build.

[Guide] El Capitan on the Skylake H170N-WIFI

its ok bro, this build will do! You can buy it. :)) But all jokes aside, you have to understand that setting up hackintosh is not like just installing Windows 10. So you'll probably run into some troubles, like no audio via audio jack or other problems, but if you follow this guide and know what...

[Guide] El Capitan on the Skylake H170N-WIFI

1 - yes. You will need Broadcom Wi-Fi chip (you can read about it in the first post of this thread). It installs in m.2 slot, instead of current Intel Wi-Fi Chip that Gigabyte motherboard supplies with (well at least that's what I did). 2. It will for big resolutions and dual screen, but if you...

[Guide] El Capitan on the Skylake H170N-WIFI

If it's in recommended chips, then, of course, it works no matter the system. I remember I too only had Bluetooth right after installing everything. Use patches in this thread: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/update-sierra-on-the-skylake-h170n-wifi.202847/

    ... Windows 8? :)))

What was your primary reason for building a hackintosh?

Just (well few days ago) made my first hackintosh. This is the second computer because my main work is still on Windows machine. Primary reason was to replace Macbook Air. I do all kinds of things on Mac like browsing, chatting, web developing work, some photoshopping and etc and Mac-Air...

[Guide] El Capitan on the Skylake H170N-WIFI

Well at least front is working. I had the same result, but I have only back outputs so for me cloveralc didn't do any good, only cloverHDMI. If you run audio_CloverHDMI now, it will probably work and enable audio over HDMI. I still recommend AudioALC dynamic patching. This works 100% on all...

[Guide] El Capitan on the Skylake H170N-WIFI

Did you run audio_CloverALC script before this? Hmm can't say anything about HDMI sound using graphics card... I used internal graphics, HD530 and it worked right after this script that you run (of course I run first audio_CloverALC, it didn't do any good just added bunch of audio inputs in...

[Guide] El Capitan on the Skylake H170N-WIFI

Do you have ssdt_hdmi-hd530 installed? Did you mount EFI partition before running .command script from audio_CloverHDMI? Or just follow instructions in this post https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-el-capitan-on-the-skylake-h170n-wifi.178197/page-35#post-1237979

[Guide] El Capitan on the Skylake H170N-WIFI

LOL wut? USB sound card? Are you on El Capitan? AppleALC+Lilu = worked for me. Audio jack, microphone jack, HDMI - working. Fully working on Sierra. Only delete all sound patches from config.plist and delete FakePCIID.kext (it's not gonna break wifi and bluetooth) and realtekALC.kext from kexts...

[Guide] El Capitan on the Skylake H170N-WIFI

Just made this build, using almost the same hardware, but NVME ssd as boot drive (installed straight to it). Installed Sierra to it (cause I can't download El Capitan and that's cool cause as I understand hackintosh nvme support only works on Sierra). Looks like for now what I tested is working...
