@jaymonkey Thanks for the in-depth reply, that makes total sense. I’ve just checked one of my systems that I previously used VirtualSMC on however and I can’t find VirtualSMC.efi anywhere in my Clover EFI drive, I’ve upgraded VirtualSMC a number of time’s since setting it up using KextUpdater so...
Why is VirtualSMC.efi not part of the VirtualSMC release anymore? all guides reference that VirtualSMC.efi needs to be also installed but with recent releases (anything past 1.0.9 I believe) it's no longer bundled. Why is this? Do we no longer need to install it for it to work with recent...
Ok so within Clover options I have no audio out showing in the chime menu just volume and return. I do however have Audio when my Mac in fully booted. Any idea why I don't have audio out showing at the clover menu? I have AudioDxe-64.efi in both the relevant places.
UPDATE: Ok so to get...
No success for me, setting PlayAsync in clover configuration to true causes my hack to hang as a black screen even before it even gets to the clover boot loader. with it set to false I get various output option in clover option (a number of HDMI etc) but nothing seems to work for me.
That’s great to hear, would you mind looking at my earlier post and see if you think my issue is the same? Screenshots posted.

Hey guys, after posting my initial issue here: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/updated-10-14-1-to-10-14-4-reboots-loop.274100/
I can across this thread as it sounds like I’m having the same problem. Would someone mind taking a look at my post and confirming.
Any help grateful.
Ok not a success for me, updated from 10.14.1 to 10.14.4 and now boots to Apple logo and gets to about 75% and reboots again, this goes into a loop.
I made sure I updated Liu, whatevergreen etc before updating as well as latest available clover. I can boot to clover screen and have successfully...
You are a life saver, it now boots... However its not detecting my 1060 card. Nvidia web driver is enabled. All I did was reinstall the OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi. After it booted I also downgraded to previous Clover version but the card wasn't detected prior to doing that.
Any ideas?
EDIT...
Trying to locate OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi in the Clover installer (latest tonymacx86 version) with Pacifist but turning up nothing. Any ideas?
EDIT: Also tried the previous Clover build from SourceForge, no where to be seen.
What’s the location of where OsxAptioFix3Drv-64.efi should go? Going to attempt to connect my SSD to a my MacBook Pro and restore a previous version in the EFI partition.
If I don’t have a USB emergency to hand how can I get this back up and running. It’s booting to clover then no further from main drive or recovery partition.
It’s unlikely that’s the issue if it’s been working fine up until recently. I however always update my clover as this has never caused me issues. Your mileage may vary.
