Hello everyone Since this week, my hackintosh freezes whenever I don't touch it for about 15 minutes. I've had it almost a year and this is the first time it happens. As long as I keep using it, everything's absolutely fine. I tried to replug the mouse and keyboard in different USB-ports but...

I went with the Celeron G540 and nVidia Geforce GT210. My fathers macbook with Core2Duo at 2.4Ghz is more than good enough, so my 2.5Ghz should be good enough as well!:) Expected delivery is this week so i'm waiting eagerly :)

With the 8gb RAM and i3, I have a total of 386 euro.. I have the money to get better parts, but I dont know if I want to spend that surplus.. Will the Celeron, GT 210 and 4GB ram be enough for movies, internet and music? For gaming and heavier stuff I have a good laptop..

Hm, hard decisions.. The difference in price between the SSD and normal HHD is minimal, and since I already own an external HDD, I'll definitely go with the SSD. So I have Kingston SSDNow V300 60GB Corsair XMS 2x2GB Gigabyte B75M-D3H Antec Three Hundred + Cooler Master Elite 400...

The case mooks really neat! And haha everybody says something else about the core :p i dont know what to do :p the SSd is a Kingston model, only 50 euro.. I posted a new config a few posts earlier :)

Thanks everyone for the responses! I realized it'd be stupid to get an i3 without pushing it to the max though I'll keep the SSD as I know from my laptop what difference it makes. I'm fine with a Celeron core, and will be probably adding a Geforce 210 to it :)

Yes i get your point, but the fact is, the SSD costs 50 euro, and for the other HDD's it's almost the same price. And I already have an external HDD, I thought I'd be better with the SSD. And the processor with the graphics card is around 90 euro, which is only 30 euro less than the i3. Thats a...

Ah like that :) in euro it would be a really small difference in price between the Celeron+GPU and the i3.. Does anybody see problems in my suggested configuration?

You mean I won't benefit from the I3 or SSD? The SSD is just around 50 euro, and I already have an external HDD which I can use for a backup..

Many of the cheap compatible motherboards can't be shipped to my location. The Gigabyte GA-H61N is one the few that can be shipped, but it has Super4 in it's name. Is that a problem for hackintoshes?

Or I could take the MI-008 Tower with built-in PSU, then I save 50$. That brings me down to 270$ without video card..

Yes povomac was a bit outdated, most parts aren't even available anymore.. I was thinking of buying from Amazon as Newegg doesn't ship to Belgium where I live. I need everything, but of course the monitor, keyboard and mouse aren't included in the €300! :) I'll definitely have a look at...
