Fails to boot Monterey installation USB with OpenCore

But will an iGPU from a 4770k even do any impact? Seems like the RX580 would handle everything better anyway? Maybe I should go with the iMacPro1,1? Or do you mean I can use 7,1 and keep it activated in Bios?

Fails to boot Monterey installation USB with OpenCore

If it will work good in the future I might install Ventura. Do I miss anything if using iMacPro vs 17,1 on Monterey?

Fails to boot Monterey installation USB with OpenCore

Turns out it was the USB port I was using that was causing issues. Now the installer runs but second guessing my SMBIOS choice. A guide I found recommended iMac18,1 when using a dedicated GPU. Many other recommend iMac17,1. And now I found some people who recommend iMacPro1,1 when you are using...

Fails to boot Monterey installation USB with OpenCore

Thanks, will do. Do the errors in the log tell you anything?

Fails to boot Monterey installation USB with OpenCore

Used a Mac to make it. Following this guide: https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/installer-guide/mac-install.html#downloading-macos-modern-os

    Sorry SSDT, mixed them up.

Fails to boot Monterey installation USB with OpenCore

First time using OpenCore, pretty used to Clover and been into Hackintosh since Snow Leopard. But as OpenCore is all new to me I am quite stuck at the moment. Used Dortania's guide and used the Automatic tool to create a DSDT and Windows with the USB-tool to create the USB-kext. Trying to...

Wake on LAN from sleep (no display, and autowakes?)

I have no special tools. Just using Wake on lan from another device (when my Hackintosh is in Sleep) doesn't work from shutoff. But it's not usable right now for me.

Wake on LAN from sleep (no display, and autowakes?)

Let me explain, I have two issues (both related to Wake on LAN from sleep). If I use sleep on my Hackintosh it works great, it goes to sleep, and wakes up when I move my mouse or touch my keyboard (and I get display signal too). Here is the issue. If I put it to sleep, and wake it up with Wake...

    [Release] Hackintool v3.x.x

Used you amazing tool to do the USB port patching. I have a Gigabyte Z97MX-Gaming 5 motherboard. And I followed the instructions to do the patching. And everything seemed to work great. Except I have been noticing that sometimes my USB ports cut out. So I can be typing on my Apple Keyboard (USB)...

    Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide]

So I need to use Wifi instead of Ethernet to get everything working natively? Or do you mean I need to have Wifi "active" so that it can be used when needed? Because I rather use ethernet as it is faster.

    Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide]

I got my Hackintosh connected via ethernet, and I have no use for Wifi. What are my best options to get native bluetooth and enabling the Handoff/Continuity functions? Do I still need to get a Broadcom card with Wifi? And if I do, can I disable Wifi and only use bluetooth + ethernet to enable...

    [Release] Hackintool v3.x.x

Is there any difference in using USBPorts.kext compared to using SSDT-UIAC.aml ? What has the best compatibility when updating the OS?

    Testing functionality of everything?

Now I have been testing out USB fully. I though it did work. But that was because it does work with all the devices that are plugged in on boot. If I plug in an USB stick when it is booted it won't recognise it. If it is plugged in before boot it works. It also works if I put it to sleep and...

    Testing functionality of everything?

Just tried the 4K video in QuickTime (I only have a 1080p monitor but I guess the load is the same?). Maximum CPU load was 35% during the video. So I guess the GPU is working fine! 2150 in Unigine Valley which seems OK for my GPU. Downloaded Hackintool and this is the result: As you can see...

    Testing functionality of everything?

How do you check if the GPU or CPU is being used while running a 4K demo? Thank you for the great post, answered all my questions!

    Testing functionality of everything?

Just got my Hackintosh setup with Mojave, haven't touched Mac OS since my Snow Leopard hackintosh days. I followed the guides necessary and setup everything according to them. I have SMBIOS set to iMac14,2 and dGPU instead of iGPU. So how do I know if the dGPU works? It is active in BIOS, but...

AMD R9 290, disable one HDMI port (3 displays connected)

Sorry about that, I haven't been here for years, and I think that was not an option when I registered in 2011. Will fix that instantly!

AMD R9 290, disable one HDMI port (3 displays connected)

I just setup my hackintosh, and I use the AMD R9 290, and I used this guide to set it up for Mojave: If I have 3 displays connected at the same time (1xDVI and 2XHDMI), I get picture on both HDMI displays only. From what I have found out this does not because it does not support more than 2...
