Optimum CustoMac for design/film editing software

What I mean is you need to either use a supported graphics card or just use integrated graphics. Seeing that you want to do advanced graphic design I think you should use a supported graphics solution rather than a 10 series. -m

    Video Editing Build Advice

Seems like people are making it work. If it's something you really want to do then that desire should provide the motivation to see it though. Just expect there to be more hiccups than with a 6700K, stay calm and hack on. -m

    Z270 Build compatibility.

That's awesome. Way to put in work. I'm just sponging up info until I can build mine. Probably in the next month or so. Thanks for the details :) -m

    Use integrated graphics.

    Z270 Build compatibility.

Did you use an adapter for that card? All the BCM94360CS2 cards I'm seeing are PCIe. Also did you get all your USB 3.0 working at full speed? Seems like a lot of people have trouble with that. I'm assuming you used a Skylake spoof to get Kaby Lake working. Congrats on your build. -m

    Video Editing Build Advice

Based on the fact that there's been more builds - and even golden ones - using Z170/6700k that's the route I've decided to take. Considering it's so easy for noobs like us to tumble into the weeds, the advice is generally to stay the course in the beginning. -m

Need advice - Researching graphics card upgrade for video work (after effects and FCP X)

I thought there was no support for 10 series cards on hack.

New Hack - Music and Video - Three Choices

I think I'm able to answer my own question: 1. Kaby Lake works but, being new hardware, it's not as thoroughly tested. 2. Following golden builds on a Z170 system is probably the best place to start. 3. Might be more difficult to do a P55 build but it wouldn't hurt to try. Thanks guys...

Pretty sure you just attach it to some metal in your case.

New Hack - Music and Video - Three Choices

Hey guys. This is my first post. My name is Michael Carrillo (aka Hexspa) and I've been lurking here for a few weeks. I currently have a 6,2 Mac Mini running OSX 10.8.5 with a 2.3GHz i7 and 8GB RAM. I've been inspired to build my first Hackintosh. I've got a vision on which I'm hoping to...
