The issue is I cannot get my keyboard backlight working. Tried to use AsusSMC, I didn't use any DSDT Patches for backlight. Everything now works except backlight. New problem reporting file attached

Did it. No effect. I rebooted without caches, then ran command sudo kextcache -I /, rebooted again. No effect

I looked into it and there's no support for ASUS

So.. Fn keys work now, but backlight doesn't work... AND I was close to heart attack, because got an boot error "System was unable to start", but few reboots repaired it itself (I have no idea how). I did everything mentioned in Instruction (AsusSMC wiki)

I see it's ATK, when I was using Windows or Linux distros I was looking for ATK. Will give it a try and report immediately :)

Okay. I didn't add backlight DSDT patch. I read whole thread three times and I don't know which patches are missing in my config. Other thing is I don't know how to add them under KextsToPatch

So I did it and... still nothing. Rebooted with -f, and then opened terminal and wrote command sudo kextcache -i / . Unfortunately no effect.... Any other ideas? I still didn't add patch for backlight, because touchpad is much more important for me (studies tomorrow...)

may be pretty noob question, but how to reboot without caches? I cannot see an option in clover...

Yeah, I missed them. Now they are installed via terminal: sudo cp -R VoodooI2C*.kext /Library/Extensions After that I ran command: sudo kextcache -i / No success. I added flag to Clover: kext-dev-mode=1 and rebooted. Still no success. Touchpad still doesn't work.

I made sure my kexts are up to date, and they are. I'm gonna patch my DSDT for backlight now, but I can't understand why touchpad stopped working...

So should I: remove AppleBacklightFixup.kext form /L/E Move all .kext files from /kext/other to /Library/Extensions?

Hi guys, I successfully installed macOS Mojave on my Laptop. What's working: battery status, WiFi, touchpad, screen brightness regulation (Light Sensor works too), volume hotkeys, so everything I need to have fully working macOS on my laptop. Via MaciASL I patched SSDT/DSDT using fixes...

Now worked! Thanks a lot for help and thanks for patience :D
