    Gigabyte Z270X ULTRA GAMING - i7 6700K - GTX 1060

Thanks for this guide @jimmakos01. My system is very similar to this and I got everything running short of USB 3.0 working correctly - they work fine as USB 2.0 ports however. I still have not gone through to map them. My board is the H270M series. I also have a random issue where my screen...

Need Kext Education at Kaby Lake

I currently have my setup to IGPU disabled and Graphics to PCIe-3 1. I have no operational issues with my NVidia card. I have not looked into AirPlay or Quick Sync. My primary interface is an Apple TV device, not the actual hackintosh, so AirPlay goes through that. I have no idea what Video...

Need Kext Education at Kaby Lake

I went through and verified the settings were correct as per that article and they are. The kext files are located in the /library/extensions/ directory. Running the kextstat command, I can find the USB Inject All kext loaded, however I did not see the XHCI port raise kext loaded.

I don't mind a tag along at all. As Pastrychef indicated, have you tried using the card without the new drivers? I would try that first to better understand if the issue is driver or not. I still have to resolve USB issues, but once I do that I will develop a guide for my build.

Gigabyte H270-Gaming 3 success - Audio production workstation

Thanks, I will look for the guy. I suspect I may have crossed this already and he had a link to download a prepared High Sierra EFI file. However, I am dubious to accept that file though. For one, I don't know the guy or his background and he did not seem to have a community backing like...

[Solved] SSD not showing in Disk Utility at install proces

Thanks. I have a LAN wire tester and confirmed my 4/5 pair is "open" so I need to check the terminations on each end. This is the 3rd cable I have had gone bad in my house, so perhaps they were not punched tightly enough. I did install the v2.2.1 driver first and it did not work as the...

[Solved] SSD not showing in Disk Utility at install proces

I have a bad patch cable in my attic between the TV and panel box. Second Cat 5 jack I have had go bad on my. Looks like I need to spend a few hours testing all my jacks. Hopefully its just the punching working loose and not something damaging the wires.

[Solved] SSD not showing in Disk Utility at install proces

Thanks, I plan to do the same tonight and will report back. I understand that for kexts, you can simply delete them to remove them, however to add them you must run multibeast or kextbeast. I am curious as to why that is. Seems like a configuration file is modified to add, but not required to...

UniBeast: Install macOS Sierra on Any Supported Intel-based PC

I tried this last night on my board without the success. I will be attempting some other driver versions tonight. My board is the GA-H270-DS3H. I am in High Sierra.

I am currently using system definition 18,3. I did install them using Kext Beast, but thanks for the tip, we had not discussed it, just came across it on here. However, I did move the files from there to the EFI directory based on some other readings on here and I believe that was the final...

Need Kext Education at Kaby Lake

I think I made some progress tonight. I am now loaded in. I ended up deleting the Lilu and GraphicsFixUp kexts, which might have been your recommendations - sorry I don't remember anymore. I also followed Stork's guide at post #2 regarding uninstallating and reinstalling the drivers. The...

I did. I followed the step outlined here:<link removed for "How to properly Install Nvidia Drivers on High Sierra 10.13 (17A405)" due to moderator approval requirements> However, once I installed the recommended kexts and Nvidia drivers, i only successfully boot to a solid black screen. So I...

@pastrychef, I have completed the steps above through item 8 and I still get the kernel panic and reboot. The drivers were added as per your instructions and Clover Configurator now recognizes them...so I got that right but still no fix. I will be looking at the video card drivers but could...

My M.2 is 500 GB (PCI SADA) and my HDDs are 3 TB SATA. I don't have any smaller ones, perhaps some old IDE's laying around but I would have to install them as USB. I honestly don't mind doing the install twice lol. A little more work but I'm learning as I go. Yes, I do see it. I...

[Solved] SSD not showing in Disk Utility at install proces

You might be tackling the brick wall wrong. Use the thicker part of the head up top :) Im learning this is easier done than said...a play on an old saying. Yes you can, but it seems you cannot delete via multibeast. Additionally, what I am fining is there is a minimum mix of drivers required...

Need Kext Education at Kaby Lake

Yes I can. I can boot from the USB into the USB Installer OS. I cannot boot from the USB to the MacOS installation after Multibeast. FWIW, I can boot into it before Multibeast. Yes, but my options are then limited to disk utility, reinstall and terminal. Recovery from Time Machine did not...
