I suppose that it's CPU issue (i7-7700K in my case). I've changed MB and PSU, two completely different RX580s, but freezes seem to be gone right after switching to another slot on the MB.

Seems that it was a hardware issue. I've returned my GPU to the manufacturer for repair. They say that they repaired it, but I did not get it back yet. I will re-test it later.

It looks like Nvidia does not even work on Mojave driver. Apple says it's up to Nvidia to release drivers. Anyway, there is no reason to use Nvidia on macOS now — AMD is officially supported, Google stopped TensorFlow GPU builds support for macOS. It's time to switch to AMD.

I've tried even change motherboard with no success.

Seems that problem is not with macOS — for me it freezes on Linux too. I think there can be a problem with PSU.

Well, guys, it's HW problem — same on linux.

Thanks, I'll try and report back. First boot was unsuccessful (got "kextd stall GFX0, IGPU"), but the next one was OK.

Got freeze caused by GPU Restart, as before.

Yep. Sometimes it's single restart causing 10-30 seconds freeze, but usually it's cyclic restart, that freezes system at all.

I'm facing the same issue, but seems that it's not GPU-related — I have freezes even just on HD630, when RX580 is turned off.

It won't boot without KernelPM patch (hangs on EndRandomSeed). Booted successfully with KernelPM enabled (I did not change anything else). Will test and report, thank you.

I've tried different combinations, one with 18,3 (most close to be valid) is attached.

I know, but currently all 18,3 combinations with iGPU=on lead to freezes. Now I test 18,1 with iGPU=off dGPU=on, seems pretty stable.

Well, after lots of experiments I can confirm that: 1. WindowServer is restarting GPU even without Radeon, when I'm on HD630. 2. It works fine (without GPU restarts) only with iMac18,1 3. System seems to work stable (without GPU restarts) with iMac18,1 even with Radeon.Nope, freezing too.

According to this page, there are no Pascal adapters "officially supported". What's the Nvidia's position about supporting Pascal? Does this driver officially support all adapters, or just few models?

My issue is related to performance — framedrops in games and UI lags on 4K display. And, as a "bonus" — rare on-screen UI artifacts.
