    macOS Native CPU/IGPU Power Management

For GPU PM using SSDT methods, how do I do the patch in the first option? I would do the AppleHDA HDMI Audio method, but multiple sets of nested threads due to revisions/method changes has made it very difficult to follow the instructions.

    macOS Native CPU/IGPU Power Management

Attached is a new screenshot of IPG after letting my computer idle for 5 minutes

    macOS Native CPU/IGPU Power Management

That's what I did originally, I did a screenshot after setting up PM and letting it idle, I took a another one as well during the benchmarking, sorry if there was a misunderstanding there. I saw you only posted one screenshot that showed the CPU usage low, going up and then going back down so i...

    macOS Native CPU/IGPU Power Management

I've updated to the latest version of IPG, 3.5.5. The maximum update time is 1000ms, so even though I can change the speed, a 5 minute sample still would not fit in one view. Screenshot included to show that thats the case. Thanks for checking the IOregistry for me! If there's anything more I...

    macOS Native CPU/IGPU Power Management

I don't know. The preferences menu had y axis settings and sample size settings, but that doesn't change the width of the graph for some reason. I got the Intel power gadget tool a year ago, and got it from inteI's website. Maybe it changed in a newer version? Believe it or not, I'm not trying...

    macOS Native CPU/IGPU Power Management

Apologies, I've updated post #825 with attached information. I struggled a bit with getting the output of AppleIntelInfo.kext, but you can follow the difficulty in the log. I was not able to change the X axis value of the intel power gadget chart so I had to split it into 3 captures.

    macOS Native CPU/IGPU Power Management

Thanks again for clarifying that to me. I copied the SSDT-XCPM.aml file to the folder like you said. Things mostly work butI still have wonkiness with my CPU and GPU a lot. Looking at the instructions again, I realize I don't know if I set up GPU PM, and for the life of me I don't know how to...

FireWire interface causing CPU PM to misbehave

I have a Saffire Pro 40 that connects via a firewire card. I recently used Toleda's fix to resolve my CPUs PM issues, but had my interface turned off while I was going through the process. Everything worked... until I rebooted with the interface running. Now the CPU is constantly maxing out its...

    macOS Native CPU/IGPU Power Management

I'm afraid I'm not understanding the instructions at all. Do I just need to replace my SSDT in the patched folder with your new one? It seems like there's a lot of instructions but doesn't actually say to do much. At the bottom, you mention that the frequency scale is wrong with clover, can you...

How do I install he sensor kexts?

Thanks! So I'm not able to have clover inject them like the other kexts? I was avoiding using multibeast because it hasn't updated to New sensors yet, and with Pascal cards now usable I'm anticipating another update Where is L/E? I can find s/l/e, bit the other library folder in my user folder...

How do I install he sensor kexts?

I tried to place the hwsensor kexts into the clover kext folder, but it caused a kernel panic. I tried doing them into the contents folder if fakesmc.kext but the system didn't read the sensors. Where should I install the kexts withing the clover folder, and/or how can I stop the panic?

TP-Link Wifi card works in installer but not in main boot

That worked! I don't know why, but at first it wouldn't detect the hardware. Then i installed the AppleIGB kext and that made it work again! Any idea why that could've been?

Tp Link AC 1300 Os X Sierra

I'm having the same issue with the same wifi card and nearly same platform (i'm on z170x ud3)! Was this ever resolved? If so, how did you do it?

TP-Link Wifi card works in installer but not in main boot

Updating clover (using original config) did not change results. For lack of knowing what to try next, I'm attaching my EFI partition, my S/L/E folder and my bootlog to help troubleshoot

El Capitan fails to start Clover r2.4k 4035

I'm having similar issues. it looks like the config layout is different than it is in 3766; copying the original config in didn't work and trying to modify it with multicast wouldn't change it

TP-Link Wifi card works in installer but not in main boot

It didn't seem to change anything unfortunately. I'm going to try updating my Clover (its currently on 37xx, the default that comes with multibeast) and seeing if that makes a difference. When i tried using multibeast with the newest version of clover, it broke the config so i've been using the...

TP-Link Wifi card works in installer but not in main boot

I will definitely try that. Would that still be a solution if the card works when booting to the installer, just not to the main drive? I will need to move other PCIE devices to make room for the card, will those devices have trouble working if moved to the slot the wifi card was in?

TP-Link Wifi card works in installer but not in main boot

I got the TP-Link Archer T6E for my wifi, since the archer line is natively compatible. However, the card wasn't noticed by the machine I saw, to the point that the wifi options in the network menu have disappeared. However, wifi is detected and can connect, etc. when I'm in the OS installer. I...

    Mobo settings Reset overnight!

The battery was already installed when I got the board, and the night it happened, the board was unplugged from a power source the whole night. Does the battery run always or just when the board is powered? I'll check the seating, otherwise is there a way to test the battery health?

AC Wifi, is there a reason the build guides don't include them?

I was looking at the suggested wifi card in the build section for my Sierra hack, and I noticed that the next level card, the TP-Link AC1300 with AC wifi, wasn't suggested. I looked to see if AC wasn't supported on OSX but it was not the case. Is there a reason that only N speed wifi cards are...
