    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I had done all that (via the DeviceProperties method recommended by AcidAnthera for IntelMausi, as well as the -mausiwol boot flag). In any case, I realized that under F9 BIOS, in order to enable WOL one has to: - enable "Wake on LAN" in the main page (I...

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Thanks, CaseySJ for this venerable thread. Quick question, regarding Ventura 13.5 on my F9 Designare: have you encountered any trouble with WOL (Wake-On-Lan) after the machine sleeps? In my case, the ethernet port LEDs are silent during sleep, and fail to wake after sending a WOL magic packet...

Big Sur Installation Crash at 12 Minutes Mark

Same trouble with an Asus H97-Plus: installation hanged after a few minutes, with apfs-related verbose output and then a kernel panic. Had to roll back the BIOS to a 2014 version (2306.CAP specifically). My sense is that: native NVRAM is REQUIRED for Big Sur installation (not subsequent use...

    Memory corrupted after longer sleep

2019 update on my Haswell / ASUS H97 Plus (running Mojave): came to realize that the following pmset settings provide the best in terms of stability: $ pmset -g System-wide power settings: Currently in use: standby 0 Sleep On Power Button 1 womp 1 autorestart...

    Memory corrupted after longer sleep

Sorry about that; I have always considered EFI folders (and everything Clover-related) to be quite ephemeral, and of no value to younger generations :-) FWIW, here is that EFI folder you mentioned! Take care, Xen

    Memory corrupted after longer sleep

I've linked relevant bits from my EFI partition, which is rather vanilla. Please have a look at: https://www.dropbox.com/s/81hifzg0kd23lsh/config.plist?dl=0 The clover.plist (minus SN), and a single FakeSMC kext that goes on Kexts:Other, are there, to get you started. As far as patching the...

    Memory corrupted after longer sleep

My sense is that the sleepimage issue, discussed in: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7336283?start=0&tstart=0 ... is relevant to this topic. In a nutshell, the command: sudo ln -s /dev/null /var/vm/sleepimage ... will disable sleepimage creation; while it may or may not be related to...

    Memory corrupted after longer sleep

FYI, another -perhaps relevant- data point. Just to put this comment in context, I had been plagued with the crash upon wake throughout 2015, with a GA-Z97-SLI system. As soon as I switched to an Asus motherboard, the crashes went away (refer to entry #159, on page 16 of this thread)! Or so I...

    Memory corrupted after longer sleep

Hi guys. Just to provide you with some longterm info, along with a -perhaps useful- tip. Two Asus H97 systems have been running beautifuly, sleeping and waking (RTC alarms, manual wakes) for the past 6 months. They were rebooted only for major OS updates. In two occasions, however, they...

    Memory corrupted after longer sleep

Forgive the patronizing tone, but try not to get into the RAM buying frenzy in the hopes it will resolve the issue; it will NOT! (I know, because I've tried!). The root of the problem, as far as I can tell, is the mobo.

    Memory corrupted after longer sleep

I tried what wastez23 suggested (both here, and over at IM as well as his -native?- forum in Germany). Although it makes perfect sense, it did NOT resolve the issue we're discussing in this thread. I think you'll waste your time (no pun intended). If you do want to try it nevertheless, I...

    Memory corrupted after longer sleep

You're right; like I had said, it's a "voodoo" thing. Still, Chameleon Wizard allows this flag, which I too find puzzling. Regarding the autopoweroff pmset flag, in my case (Z97x-SLI) didn't do a thing.

[solved] how we back SYSTEM Folder again because its Hide...

I consider myself a hackintosh veteran, yet this issue baffled me for some time! The whole OSX86 scene has evolved to a stage that resembles medicine: you just can never be entirely up-to-date. BTW, Rehabman, you would have made a great physician!

    Memory corrupted after longer sleep

Darkwake=no Yes, it is one of those voodoo things to try. I've always had this flag set (both on Clover and System Configuration/com.apple.Boot.plist). Don't expect to resolve the KP problem, though. HTH Xen

    Memory corrupted after longer sleep

All I can add is that we managed to get on with our lives, and it was about time! Still, it's very puzzling why this issue had not been reported as often: my only explanation is that it's probably because most users shutdown at the end of the day.
