Thanks, it inspired me to do the same, apple bt keyboard an mouse are back in business! (no handoff though, but that is no deal breaker for me). I suggest to use thinner wires and guide these over the print for long term reliability. I used wire-wrapping wire which also made the soldering easier.

Thanks for your post on the Intel DG41MJ mobo, I gave it a shot and the legacy sata trick worked great. After installing the vanilla easybeast and update to 10.6.5 the system was running great. Sound and Ethernet worked out of the box.
