[Guide] Intel Skylake NUC6 (and Skull Canyon) using Clover UEFI (NUC6i5SYK, NUC6i7KYK, etc)

Is support for this dead? Looks like all Rehabman support has gone away. Want to know before making any more changes or updates. Got 3 years out of the NUC so not a bad run.

[Guide] Intel Skylake NUC6 (and Skull Canyon) using Clover UEFI (NUC6i5SYK, NUC6i7KYK, etc)

Have not upgraded to 10.14.5 yet. But have found an interesting workaround to get audio working again. After booting up, if I plug in a headphone cable from the NUC to the monitor and then restart the monitor - the DisplayPort audio starts working again. I've tried other variations but it...

[Guide] Intel Skylake NUC6 (and Skull Canyon) using Clover UEFI (NUC6i5SYK, NUC6i7KYK, etc)

Checked and I have 10.14.4 but it is also broken when I believe it was working before the that updated. I think I installed 10.14.2

[Guide] Intel Skylake NUC6 (and Skull Canyon) using Clover UEFI (NUC6i5SYK, NUC6i7KYK, etc)

Yes. I have sound problems too. No DisplayPort or HDMI. Headphones work. Also swapped in old High Sierra SSD and DP worked. See recent posts here: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/applehda-hdmi-audio-guide.234735/page-114 Would love to find out if something is broken by recent upgrade...

Clean install without overwriting data and settings?

Valid point. Since I want to refresh all of the system files then this should work. Then I will repeat post install activities minus installing clover. Thanks.

Clean install without overwriting data and settings?

The audio on my Mojave install is no longer working and the most likely recourse at this point is to reinstall. Is it possible to do a clean install without overwriting the data, settings etc. so I don't have to re-setup everything and migrate data again? I have the original install USB and...

I was afraid this might be the only solution. Is there a way to do a clean install without losing settings and data? Thanks.

    AppleHDA HDMI Audio [Guide]

Yes I understand. Just trying to eliminate the possible causes. Thanks for the help. Output of the command as requested for the High Sierra SSD: HARLANs-iMac:~ harlan$ ioreg -rxn IOHDACodecDevice | grep VendorID | "IOHDACodecVendorID" = 0x10ec0283 | "IOHDACodecVendorID" =...

    AppleHDA HDMI Audio [Guide]

Checked bios and both audio options are checked. Ran the command with the following output: iMac:~ harlan$ ioreg -rxn IOHDACodecDevice | grep VendorID | "IOHDACodecVendorID" = 0x10ec0283 To check if it is a hardware issue, I reinstalled my older SSD with the High Sierra image and started...

    AppleHDA HDMI Audio [Guide]

Is this the Terminal command I should run: ioreg -rxn IOHDACodecDevice | grep VendorID Thanks. I will check this when I can. However, I also used an Ubuntu USB stick and verified sound worked through DisplayPort so that leads me to believe this is not a hardware problem. Also are both the...

[Guide] Installing macOS Mojave (10.14.2) on Intel NUCi5BEH using Clover UEFI + updating to Mojave (10.14.6) on post#2

Posting here to see if anyone can help. I Performed a fresh install of Mojave (instead of doing a system update on High Sierra) on a NUC6i5SYH and everything appeared to be working but now audio does not. Only Headphones is shown in the sound preferences. NUC is connected through DP. I...

[Guide] Intel Skylake NUC6 (and Skull Canyon) using Clover UEFI (NUC6i5SYK, NUC6i7KYK, etc)

I am working on a new Mojave installer and followed the directions as best as I can tell. But after installing Clover and as directed, other manual steps, the following files are not int the drivers64UEFI directory. I've tested it out and it loads through to the installer so don't know if they...

[Guide] Intel Skylake NUC6 (and Skull Canyon) using Clover UEFI (NUC6i5SYK, NUC6i7KYK, etc)

Thanks. I ran it according to these steps in the updates section. Which is why I did not run ./install_downloads.sh earlier. Maybe after some previous updates, files or links got lost? First step should be to update to the latest repository. To do so: Code: git stash git pull make clean make...

Clean install with restore from Time Machine?

Answering my own question, it looks like I can do what I want with the Migration Assistant: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204350 If this is incorrect, please let me know. Thanks.

Clean install with restore from Time Machine?

I am considering just doing a clean install on a new SSD to be safe and want to know if I can restore files and settings from Time Machine. I currently have a Time Machine backup of High Sierra on a NAS drive (I have network file on the USB clover) What are the steps to do this? Start install...
