[Guide] Dell XPS 9560 Monterey OpenCore

Thank you for putting in the work to share with the community! Your files worked smoothly. Not sure why everyone else was having iSepssues. I have a DW1830 and cannot get Bluetooth to work. I can turn BT on and off thru the OS. But none of my BT devices are showing up on my 9560. Can you please...

Thank you for sharing your info. Can you please tell me if you are having issues with Bluetooth on your DW1830?

DW1830 Bluetooth not available (power saving issue?)

@Gymnae try putting BrcmRepoData in /L/E/ instead of BrcmFirmware Data. My BT does drop out in my XPS 9560. However, it turns "back on" if I close the lid, causing it to sleep, then opening it a few mins later. I know this is not a solution. But, hopefully, it will be a step in the direction of...

[Guide] Dell XPS 9560 Mojave VirtualSMC, I2C Trackpad, Clover UEFI Hotpatch

@blazinsmokey thank you for posting your new settings. I have been playing with it since you first posted it and power consumption is fantastic. Battery consumption when unplugged and the lid is closed is excellent. Thank you so much for this. The DW1830 card does drop out after sleep once in a...

[Guide] Dell XPS 9560 Mojave VirtualSMC, I2C Trackpad, Clover UEFI Hotpatch

@blazinsmonkey thank you! I changed to 15,1 on KNNSpeed's Guide to get wake on lid opening working way back when. But I was getting issues w TouchID. So, your choice all makes sense now :)

[Guide] Dell XPS 9560 Mojave VirtualSMC, I2C Trackpad, Clover UEFI Hotpatch

@blazinsmokey sorry for the confusion. but the BT dropouts to an "N/A" state cannot be reliably reproduced now, which I have to say is a good sign. Still working on it to find a predictable, reproducible pattern :)

[Guide] Dell XPS 9560 Mojave VirtualSMC, I2C Trackpad, Clover UEFI Hotpatch

@blazinsmokey was looking at your SMBIOS and am wondering why you used "MacBook Pro 14,1" vs "MacBook Pro 15,1". Was this a legacy setting from the KNNSpeed/HighSierra days?

[Guide] Dell XPS 9560 Mojave VirtualSMC, I2C Trackpad, Clover UEFI Hotpatch

@blazinsmokey thanks for the primer! The good news is I have to try harder to make Bluetooth to be "N/A" as opposed to just leaving it unplugged, as I have in the past. What I did to make it "N/A", last night, was to go on battery power, turn it off, use it for a few hours, and then turn...

@blazinsmokey great to hear from you and thank you for writing back! The only command I know to check which kexts are loaded is "kextstat". The output I get is: "18 0 0xffffff7f80fcc000 0x8000 0x8000 as.lvs1974.AirportBrcmFixup (2.0.2) C0286DB4-56CC-391C-B846-CB059AB02CBB <17 16 13 8...

DW1830 Bluetooth not available (power saving issue?)

Shouldn't you use BrcmFirmwareRepo instead of BcrmFirmwareData?

@blazinsmokey Thank you for all your contributions to this guide. I was using KNNSpeed's ( props to @KNNSpeed ) build on my 9560 for the past year and your build and guide took it to the next level in terms of providing a comprehensive and smooth experience. I have been "playing" with the...

[Guide] Dell XPS 9560 Mojave VirtualSMC, I2C Trackpad, Clover UEFI Hotpatch

I didn't have problems with my DW1830 connecting until I rebooted a few times. Over time, it would drop out when the charger was unplugged. I encountered this problem consistently when I was using KNNSpeed's High Sierra package. Then I read: https://github.com/Xigtun/xps-9570-mojave/issues/26...

@blazinsmokey @dmitry_matora is it still necessary to use BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext? I didn’t see that kext in the latest Clover folder that was uploaded. What WiFi/BT cards are you both using?

DW1830 Bluetooth not available (power saving issue?)

@ZombieBest I think I might have found the solution to the DW1830 drop out issue on my XPS 9560. Perhaps this would work with your machine? Can you please post your latest kext folder from /L/E?

DW1830 Bluetooth not available (power saving issue?)

@ZombieBest I experienced the same issue with the DW1830 as you did. Thought the issue was with my card and replaced it with another DW1830 and had the same issue. One thing I found was that if I just had Bluetooth on with no devices connected, BT would not drop

How To Retrofit DW1830's Third Antenna In Dell XPS 15 9560?

The 3rd antenna comes attached. The 1830 has no problems fitting. A few other people on here created a slit w a hobby knife on one of the “buttresses” of the top of the antenna cover (not shown in photo) to slide the antenna module in. Get a small needle file and file enough space for the...

@sbeanie are you still running your 9560 Hackintosh? And if so, have you noticed that Intel Power Gadget's Frequency Reading seems to be "capped at 800mHz"? I ran the frequency vectors update a while back and Intel Power Gadget seemed to be working fine as it was showing the CPU Frequency...
